LATER THAT EVENING, the burnt Mahjong tapestry was remained hanging at the lobby as Diego and Stanley stared at it. Seeing as it was Stanley who dropped the Molotov cocktail, Diego had to teach his child a lesson. "You're gonna clean up every square inch of this." He declared.

"What? Most of this wasn't even my fault." Stan grimaced, "It was the man, the octogenarian." He hoped his alibi was enough to let him off the hook.

"I don't give a shit where he grew up. You're gonna clean." Much to his disappointment, Stanley only earned a nag from his Dad. "No one--"

"Yeah, and you're just mad that you got your ass kicked by a floating cube before Y/N saved us!" Stanley blurted out, leaving Diego stunned by his behavior. "That's it. You're grounded." Diego dubbed. As if on cue, Klaus came in with a mocking laugh.

Diego didn't take this as a joke. "Why are you laughing?" He questioned Klaus, "I mean, you were conveniently absent when all this went down."

"I was talking with Dad."

The Kraken stopped verbally attacking Klaus in an instant as soon as he found out that he had a conversation with their Dad. "Don't move an inch." He pulled him aside, away from Stanley. "You ask him about the mother shit?" He interrogated.

"Yeah." Klaus replied. In the middle of their duo huddle, Y/N watched them whisper to themselves from behind after she wandered around the hotel. She joined Stanley in waiting for them as Diego continued to press on Klaus for more information, "What'd he say?" He asked Klaus.

"That he didn't kill them."

"Oh, you believe him?"

While they were at it, Y/N turned to the burnt tapestry. "Looks like someone's gonna play room service tonight." She started conversing with Stanley. A smirk formed on her lips a mischief was her current mood.

"Jokes on you, Diego said I only gotta clean this one up." Stanley argued.

"Wanna bet?"

Stanley glanced at her intrigued. "What are we betting with?" He asked his young looking aunt.

"If you get it right, I'm gonna help you clean this shit up in a snap." Y/N negotiated, "But if I win, I'll simply walk away and let Diego be a dad." She shrugged.

She was mainly doing this because she was trapped in boredom. A part of her kind of wished she went with Lila and Five. The bigger part just considered today as a long day for her, especially when nobody actually needed her help before and after the Sparrows attacked.

Stanley gave it some thought and eventually gave in with an, "Okay." If he won this bet, not only does he finish up promptly, but he'd also get a show of Y/N swirling around the ashes with her power. "We'll see about that."

Just as they finished placing their bets, Diego glanced at them as if he was trying to keep a secret. Klaus had to recall their moments in the basement that included paint huffing. He had to make sure Stan wasn't listening. "Yeah, vaguely." He replied to Klaus.

"Do you recall this... blinding orb of light?" Klaus wondered. When he was back at the Academy, he saw this bright giant ball that was floating in the basement. What's curiouser was that he saw Grace praising it like it was some kind of God. He questioned if it had always been there or were they just too drowsy from the paint to even notice.

To Diego, he only thought Klaus was back to being himself. "Now we're done." He finished their little chat as he walked away from a puzzled Klaus.

Just in time, Chet arrived with maintenance tools and equipment. When he did, Y/N grinned at Stanley teasingly. "As requested." Chet handed Diego a list and a bunch of keys.
