DIEGO WAS HAVING a conversation with an English woman named Lila. They were talking about his so-called escape plan from the nuthouse he was in.
Until their conversation ended with Lila sniffing on the bottle of glue in front of her. Diego rolled his eyes at her as he sat back, thinking of how weird she was. "Hargreeves," until an emotionless-faced nurse called him out, "you have a visitor." He said.
"Who?" Diego asked.
"I ain't your secretary." He retorted in a monotone voice as he folded his arms.
Diego thought of who it could be. Was it Allison
Was it Y/N? Who was it?"Maybe Daddy finally came to say, “I love you”." Until Lila interrupted his thoughts with a sarcastic comment. He furrowed his brows and looked at her while standing up, "Piss off." He sneered, imitating her English accent before leaving the room.
When he got to the visitors section, he saw..
"Five."
"Hey, Diego." The boy who was sitting on the chair across from his greeted. "You look good in white." He complimented out of context.
The bottom on the empty chair scraped on the floor as Diego dragged it back for him to have room for him to move over and take a seat in front of his brother. The corners of his lips were lifted up into a faint smile, "About time you showed up."
"How'd you know I'd be back?" Five questioned.
"Because that's the kind of shit you pull." Diego stated, leaning over towards him.
"Where are the others?"
The Kraken's face faltered with confusion, "They're not with you? Even Y/N?"
"We'll find them." Five muttered softly, "How long have you been here?"
"Seventy-five days." Diego replied as he glanced at the corner of the table, "Landed in the alley behind—
"Commerce and Knox." They both finished the sentence at the same time. The long haired man looked at his brother in surprise, "You?" He returned the question.
"I got here this morning." Five sighed as he tugged down his blazer to fix it up. Diego wet his lip as he stirred on the chair, "How'd you find me?"
Five gently scoffed before he fumbled with his pocket to grab the article he took from Elliott, "Page 16." Diego rolled his eyes and he leaned back in annoyance while the boy continued, "“Disturbed man with multiple knives arrested outside 1026 N. Beckley.”" He read as he showed the piece of paper to Diego.
"That's Lee Harvey Oswald's house." Five stated only to receive a chuckle from his brother, "Care to explain?"
"Let's just say Dallas Law Enforcement has not been supportive of my attempt to stop the assassination of..." He continued softly, "... John F. Kennedy."
"Because it hasn't happened yet." Five remarked.
"And it's not going to happen." Diego contended, "Not on my watch." The boy was almost convinced Diego was losing his sanity.
"Look, I've been shaving down the bars in my room." Diego whispered and Five pretended to be interested, "Another day or two, I'll be out of this place, then I'm gonna stop Oswald and save the president." Diego smirked and winked as he continued, "You want in, say the word."
Five wasn't having any of it, "Listen to me closely, you gibbering moron." His voice was soft but it was laced with venom, "You are not going to do a goddamn thing."
His brother kept persisting, "Why not?"
"Because we have to stop the apocalypse." Five blurted out.
