The night felt like it lasted forever, pizza being ordered feeling days late. For the first time since I started dreaming about Shayne, I was able to really enjoy and fully immerse myself in the environment around me.

We started off with Mario Party but ended moving onto a few rounds of a Jackbox Party Pack. Because of the amount of us, we all paired up. Damien and Saige easily picked each other, and despite complaining about it, Koah paired up yet again for it. There was an airy silence when it came to Jackie, Ian, Shayne, and I, but it was solved relatively easy by a very forward Shayne.

"I'm sorry, Jackie, but I gotta go with Court. She needs my help, just like how I help her with her tweets." I hit his arm repetitively after everyone broke out into laughter but stopped when I met his eyes. I knew he was teasing me for the comment I made about him being mine, but I honestly don't even care.

Being paired up with him gave me an excuse to press my body against his arm while we were typing jokes into his phone. He always gave it to me when it came to the drawing tasks, claiming that I could draw better on a phone then he could with a pen and paper.

Of the 5 rounds we played, Shayne and I won 3, earning the privilege of deciding what we would Postmates for dessert. We settled on doughnuts which everyone seemed happy with.

When they got here, everyone decided it was getting late so they took them to go. Which is where we're at now, saying our goodbyes. Saige rests her free hand on my shoulder, the other tightly gripping her doughnut.

"You're staying the night?" She whispers so only I can hear her.

"Yeaaah... Do you think it's a bad idea?" I can feel my heart shaking in my chest just thinking about sleeping next to him again.

"I think it's a bold idea?" She giggles quietly, a smile rubbing off of her and onto my lips. Damien approaches and taps her shoulder.

"The geese are calling, we must depart." He smiles sweetly as Saige rests her elbow on top of his shoulder.

"Good luck, Court." Taking a bite from her doughnut, she nods to me before walking out with him and Ian.

Leaning against the door, I look over at Shayne and the rest of them. They're still in the kitchen sorting out doughnuts. Despite being the only one with his back to me, I keep my eyes on him, watching his arms flex when he lifts them to emphasise a point.

Eventually they come over to me, Keith and Jackie bickering over something minuscule, but I'm still stuck in my stare.

"See you on Monday, Court." Jackie pulls me from my thoughts as she brushes her hand along my arm before walking out. For the first time in a long time, we've managed to get enough done that we don't need to come in on Friday or over the weekend. I had planned on staying the few days by myself, but the lord knows I'll give up that plan if someone asks me. Especially if Shayne asks.

I mean, I'm already here, who's to stop me from staying if a certain someone asks.

Shayne's hand on my shoulder pulls me from my trance again. The both of us wave to Noah, a dumb smile directed at Shayne on his lips, confusing me.

"What was that about?" I poke his arm as he closes and locks his door.

"Nothing, don't worry. Just Noah being dumb." I watch him smirk to himself while still facing the door. As he spins around, he doesn't make eye contact with me, going straight past me back to the doughnuts. "Do you want to watch a movie or something before we sleep?" I walk past him and jump up onto his counter next to the doughnuts.
