WHEN Marcie Lipton was young, she spent her days and nights with her head up in space, dreaming of the stars. From there sprouted the nickname Mars, one that stuck and became more commonly used than her own name.
As she grew up, a head in the clouds meant one thing, she was going to get left behind. Poor grades and a low attendance in school became a cause for concern to her parents and her teachers. Maybe something could've been done sooner if she wasn't simply called a daydreamer or an introvert.
After a diagnosis, she tried her best to sort her life out and that included getting a job.
REGGIE DAWSON was the sunshine on a cloudy day, the purveyor of joy when he saw someone was in need. Maybe it was a cause for concern, his need to make everyone happy above his own needs, but being the eldest in a single parent household meant he grew up quicker than he or his mum would've liked.
To prevent anymore of his childhood being taken from him, an ad for a babysitter was posted to take the weight off his shoulders. A few weeks later, a fourteen year old girl was stood at the townhouse doorstep and walked into his life.
TWO years later, things- feelings start to change.
