For the past three days Harry had been very mixed in his feelings. He thought back happily to the last few moments he had spent with Jasper and the fact that he didn't think about Charlie at all when he was in the blonde's arms. He felt that he was slowly but surely falling in love with the vampire... which made him feel guilty because he loved Charlie no less.
Charlie that he betrayed by giving the opportunity to the blonde to make his way to his heart. Charlie to whom he owed the truth. Charlie that he was going to hurt. Charlie who was going to arrive any day now. Charlie... He didn't want to lose him, he didn't want to hurt him, but now it was the same for Jasper and he couldn't keep both. He knew that.
There was a knock at the door and Alice entered with her ballerina walk. Harry smiled weakly at her and opened his science book to the page that was giving him trouble. For almost two hours he managed not to think about his two soul mates, but the alarm from the fireplace brought his fears and uncertainties to the forefront of his mind.
"It will be all right, Harry," she told him as she closed the book. "Just tell him the truth."
There was a knock. Anxiety overtook Harry.
"Is he out front?" he whispered to Alice, before answering the person behind the door. "Just a minute!"
"Yes," the vampire answered, knowing full well that the wizard was talking about Jasper.
"Make sure he gets out of here please."
Harry pulled out his phone to ask Jasper to honor his promise and not to come near the house while Charlie was there. He then put the device away and went to open his door. Without any surprise he discovered Charlie on the other side, all smiles.
"Hello," he said with a cheery smile to Alice as she walked past him.
"Hi," she replied in the same tone, letting her vampiric charm shine through.
"Alice," Harry growled.
"I'm leaving, I'm leaving," she laughed, putting her money where her mouth was.
The two men stood in the doorway and stared at each other until they heard the front door slam. Harry was surprised that he wasn't anxious at all now that he had Charlie in front of him. He was happy to see him, completely under his spell like every time he saw him. He was impatient to taste again his lips and his skin, enjoying the pleasant tension that rose between them. At this moment, he did not think any more of Jasper, any more of his dilemma, just of his lover in front of him whom he had not seen for many months.
It was Charlie who first gave in to temptation, sticking to Harry and kissing him full on the lips. He pulled him back so he could close the door behind him. As soon as their bubble was closed, their hands were activated to rediscover each other's bodies. They were quickly naked and on the bed. The two men tasted each other's bodies, remembered each other's curves, moaned and shivered. They made love with passion that night and fell asleep naked, exhausted by the passion that had possessed them, in each other's arms.
It was Teddy's cries that woke Harry up in the morning. With regrets, the young man left the arms of his lover who groaned, but did not wake up. Harry went to pick up his godson and went downstairs to have breakfast with him, quickly joined by Andromeda who made no comment on his evening the night before. However, her smirk spoke for itself and Harry knew they would certainly talk about it a bit when Charlie would be gone.
The dragon rider joined them an hour later with a frown on his face.
"What's wrong?" Harry worried.
"Can we talk?" replied Charlie.
