Things in the human world were finally back to normal but the crazy thing is Begonia becoming nationally popular because of my news appearance.

Honey called to check on me a few times and before my name was cleared she told me she believed I was innocent. Randall also proposed to her again....she said no again.

I gave Marcy full control of everyday operations in Begonia and I would make an appearance here and there to handle accounting. Many people were starting to come there just to meet me like I'm some sort of celebrity and I hated that.

Me spending time with Mina dwindled down because of my responsibilities as the Underworld King and me refraining from having sex with her. I knew sex terrified her...so I stayed away even though she wanted to be around me.

I still don't trust myself.

Ericson announcing his plans to marry Mina did bother me...I wondered if she was interested in him. I'm aware they went on a few dates so I wouldn't be surprised if she was.

I stood in the shower allowing the heat from the water to relax my muscles. After my shower, I sat in my library reading the book of black magic and tortured souls. It was the same time at night that Sophia's soul came to visit.

Patiently waiting, I felt her cold presence watching me from afar. I was going to make her soul mine.

My eyes no longer saw the sweet girl I used to call kitten. She was now an enemy that I needed to deal with.

"Sophia, come and say what you need to say to me. I know you're there."

It was a heavy silence....

"Oh, now you're scared to confront me? If you blame me for your death then come and say it directly to me."

I felt the coldness increase, when I got up to see...she stared at me with anger and malice. I waited for her to speak, but she raised her hands towards me and I bent over.

"You are going to pay for ignoring me....fucking me and throwing me to the side like trash. I loved you Devin and that was the treatment I got!"

My pain caused her joy and no regret was in me as I stood straight up and laughed. Shock covered her face, realizing her power had no effect on me....I was faking.

"Killing yourself was your choice...don't blame me for you being weak."

Sophia began to shake, breaking down in tears. I had no remorse as I devoured her soul....it was so satisfying. Then the voice of Demon King echoed in my ear.

Job well done, my son.

A few moons later, Mina was escorted into my palace and once again she showed up on her own accord. Word just got out that she was succumbing to her parents' wishes of her marrying Ericson.

I figured that was the reason for Mina's visit. Once she was in front of me a new hunger rose up within.

"Hi Devin. I wanted to check on you...see how you're doing."

I smiled and she continued to talk.

"I apologize if you're busy...."

No words left my mouth as my eyes continued to stare at her. I could see she was beginning to get nervous....but I didn't care, I wanted her badly.

"What's your reason for wanting to be around me? To just be my friend?"

"No...I really like you."

"So you want to be more than friends?"

Her eyes widened. "No!...I mean yes...I do."

Mina stood unsure of where the conversation was leading to. All I could picture was her laying in my arms, while we watched the sunset then making love to her once the night took over the sky.

"Did you accept Ericson's proposal?"

She shook her head...I didn't believe her.

"Mina, have you been sexually active before?"

"No..."

"Are you ready to be sexually active?"

She shook her head. "No.."

"You're an engaged woman...Why would you come and see me, knowing I want to fuck you and could take it if I wanted to?"

Mina's eyes widened again as she gave a hard swallow...there was a pause.

I smirked, shaking my head as I walked away.

"Maybe I want you to take it."

I stopped then turned to look at her...did she really say that?

"That's not funny, Mina."

"I'm not trying to be funny. I'm speaking my truth...." She walked towards me and looked up into my eyes.

"If I take you, Mina...I'm not giving you back."

She smiled softly. "I don't want to be given back...take me, Devin...please."
