Devin woke up in the Human Realm, laying in his bed. He knew what he experienced was far from a dream and wasn't about to pacify everything that he saw and felt. He already accepted his fate and took it in stride, but he wondered if Ollie would still be around.

Good morning, Dev. Did you sleep well?

A smile crossed his face at the sound of the familiar voice. Devin was ready for whatever Ollie had to say....he now understood their bond and welcomed all of his shenanigans.

Good Morning, Ollie. I slept great, actually.

Devin got out of bed and made a few calls. First call was to the firm and as usual everything was well and moving right along. Then he texts Mixie.

I was wondering when you were going to reach out to her. I don't think I'm going to stop thinking about her until you fuck.

Devin laughed to himself....the same old Ollie was back and Devin was happy about it.

Yeah me too. I'm just taking my time with her...just seeing how strong her loyalty is to me.

I understand but when you get it....no holding back, her soul belongs to you.

Devin smirked at the idea of him claiming souls. It scared him when that task was first revealed to him but now understanding his true purpose, it made him hungry to do so.

He drove toward Begonia and couldn't deny the lightness he felt all over his body. The burden that once sat on his shoulders was gone and it felt amazing, but what his eyes now revealed to him in the Human Realm will take some getting used to.

The different colors of energy, demons, angels and dark angels that surrounded people were truly fascinating.

To the teenage girl walking to school with a small demon sitting on her shoulders...to the drunk homeless man being comforted by an angel, Devin was taken aback and desired to know and see more.

Before reaching his destination, Devin begins pulling his car over to a coffee shop and he notices a woman scolding her child. They were sitting at the outside tables; the young girl looked to be eight or nine years old and the fear on her face made his blood turn cold towards her mother.

He got out of the car and stood there unashamedly listening.

"You need to stop acting like a baby. I'm trying to have a nice day with you and your whining about Stanley. I already talked to him and he said he won't do it again and that he's sorry."

The little girl sat quietly letting the tears run down her face....Devin walked up to the table.

"What's wrong, sweetheart?"

The mother was appalled. "Excuse me, who are you?"

Devin ignored the woman and squatted to the little girl's eye level. "Are you okay?" he asked and she looked at her mother afraid to answer.

What's your name?

The little girl looked at him surprised, hearing his voice in her mind and he gave her a reassuring grin.

"Brittney," she answered.

The mother got upset. "You need to get away from my child...she.."

Before the woman could finish, Devin raised his hand causing her to stop talking. Brittney saw her mother looking down in silence, eating her food and as if being set free, she jumped out of the chair, hugging Devin.

"I want to go be with my grandma, I don't want to go home...Stanley is still there."

Devin instantly saw the little girl's thoughts...he could see what the man did to her and disgust filled his stomach.

Your grandmother...Is that your mom's mother?

She nodded her head.

"Call your mother," he said to the woman and she obeyed. Brittney was shocked at the control Devin had over her mother.

He gave Brittney the phone and he listened as she told her grandmother everything. With no hesitation, the grandmother agreed to come get her granddaughter.

"Wait for your grandmother and have a seat until she gets here."

Brittney grabbed Devin's hand. "Don't leave me!"

"I'll be sitting in my car across the street, I won't leave until your grandmother arrives, ok?"

She held his hand for a few more minutes then let go.

He sat in his car watching Brittney sit with her silent mother. Once the grandmother arrived...he smiled and waved at the little girl and she waved back. Devin released the mother from her silence and watched the shock on her face as the grandmother scolded her loudly in public.

Suddenly, a black fog rose from the ground and a demon followed, looking around for his host. Attaching itself to Brittney's mother, the demon then turned to Devin and bowed in respect.

A cop car pulled up and Officer Monroe got out, walking towards the scene per Devin's request. He figured she would be useful for something and took advantage of her obsession for him.

Having a cop that wants to fuck you really has it's perks.

Yeah, it sure does.

Devin pulled off feeling the urge to spill someone's blood. He fought back the impulse and continued driving to his destination.

The sun was shining giving a comfortable warmth in the air but soon a bitter coldness filled his car and caused his windshields to frost. Devin turned on the defroster and a familiar voice came into play.

Why don't you love me?

Devin wiped his rearview mirror seeing Sophia's spirit sitting in the back seat.

"Hello Sophia, why don't you love me?"

I do love you.

"No you don't.....you wouldn't have left me if you did."

Sophia began to cry then she slowly faded away. Something grabbed the steering wheel, causing Devin to swerve out of control.

It's Maggy....she's taunting you.

Devin gained back control as his eyes glowed red. "Maggy, show yourself to me now!"

The commotion stopped and as Devin continued to drive, he saw a ghostly woman standing on the side of the road. She was very pale with tattered clothes and disheveled hair.

That must be Maggy

"Your soul is now my possession."

The woman shrieked and faded into thin air. Devin now realized that it was never Sophia that was speaking to him and that gave him the relief that he needed.

He finally pulled up to Begonia where he saw dark entities flying above and around the building. As the sun shined, creatures climbed the exterior as if searching for their next meal and in front of the building, standing as guards, were two dark angels. He could see Shane standing inside the entrance, obviously not able to see the supernatural beings.

Devin got out of the car preparing himself for his first encounter with the dark angels. They both stood at eight feet in height and their black wings stayed tucked behind their backs.

"At your service, my lord."

Both of them answered with a bow then the sound of gunshots fired through the air.
