Rachel head over to Blair's place to help planned the back-to-school party for seniors with Serena and Blair. Gossip Girl posted a blast that Serena and Dan are back together. Rachel was not thrilled about the post. The three girls finished planning the party and Rachel head back to her place to get ready. Nicholas greeted her by the elevator and gave a kiss. Nicholas could not attend the party with her tonight, but he would think about her. Rachel finished getting ready, and head for the party.
Rachel arrived at the party and Blair greeted her. Blair asked Rachel where Nicholas was, and Rachel said he couldn't make it. Blair was understanding and left Rachel to greet other guests. Chuck came over to annoyed Rachel.
"Where the boyfriend?" Chuck asked.
"He couldn't make it." Rachel said.
"Too bad, more fun for me." Chuck said amused.
"Chuck, you had your chance." Rachel said walking away from Chuck.
Rachel saw Lord Marcus with another woman who was not Blair. Rachel was going to say hi to Marcus.
"Lord Marcus, hi." Rachel said.
"Rachel, good to see you again. Let me introduce you to my mother, Duchess Beaton." Marcus said.
"Nice to meet you, Duchess." Rachel said.
"Nice to meet you too, Rachel." Duchess said.
Rachel excused herself from them and Rachel saw the Duchess head over to Nate. Rachel then saw Vanessa came in. Rachel and everybody were enjoying the party when the power went out. Blair informed everyone that it is city-wide blackout. Rachel asked if she could go to her bedroom alone. Blair told Rachel; she could go to her bedroom. Rachel was alone, when she heard the door opened. She was in the dark and could not see a thing. Rachel thought it was Nicholas had come at the last minute and she wanted to kiss him. She started to kiss him, when the power came back on. The person she was kissing was Chuck and Rachel stopped kissing him. Rachel then slapped Chuck in the face and left the party. Rachel went back home crying. Nicholas greeted Rachel at the elevator door, and he saw her crying. He asked what happened and she told him what happened. Nicholas was pissed at Chuck and wanted to punch him in the face.
