Fragile.

It was the first thing Ei thought when she saw her son.

All she could think about when she saw her son laying down on Miko's chest was how small and fragile he appeared. When she saw their son's tiny fist move, her lips formed a warm smile. His tiny eyes were still closed, but he was moving.

She knew her son would be exactly like Miko just by looking at him, especially when those tiny eyes opened, he really looked like her mother. Those kitsune-like eyes, those eyes that resembled a cross between Ei and Miko, it was perfect, he was perfect.

"Miko," Ei breathed. "He's...."

The kitsune smiled and kissed her son's head, "he looks like you,"

"He resembles us in many ways," Ei said as she sat next to her wife and peered at her son. "He's so small and fragile," All babies were small and fragile, but Ei thought this baby looked so frail that one wrong move would break him, and she vowed to herself that she would protect her son with her life.

Miko looked down at her son and nodded, having had the same thought. But, even if their son is like this, the fact that he is healthy is all that matters. Despite the fact that she doubted her son would be taller than them. The thought of it made her laugh in her head.

Ei ran her hand gently over his head, showing small baby hairs the same color as her mother's, a dark purple hair. His smile was similar to Miko's, as were his kitsune-like eyes. Could there be a more perfect child?

As Ei removed her hands from his head, his smile faded and he was whining, his tiny fists closed and opened, a small cry came from him, but he didn't cry like a messy baby at all.

"He's already fond of you," Miko chuckled as she caressed and kissed her son's head. "I'm now quite envious,"

"Oh, dear," Ei laughed. "I'm sure he'll like you more in the future; after all, he'll have all the fun in the world when he's with you." She knew Miko would lavishly care for and spoil his son; she knew Miko would give him the world, as Miko gave the world to her too.

"What will you name him?"

Ei gave his name a lot of thought. Ei was an archon, a destroyer of worlds or countries. She did come up with a name that means "to destroy a country." She desires for his son's name to be feared all over the world.

"Kunikuzushi Scaramouche,"

"To destroy a country," Miko murmured, "why did you pick such a name?"

"I wanted our son to be known as a danger," Ei explained. "I'm afraid he'll be weak and become my weakness; I'll train him personally while also taking care of him,"

Miko smiled at her wife, knowing how protective Ei is, even to Miko, but she lets her wife do whatever she wants as long as Ei is beside her, protecting her from harm, and that is what Miko loves about her wife.

"Don't be too protective, Ei," Miko warned. "I want him to enjoy his life without any constraints, and he has his freedom,"

"Understood, my love," Ei said as she kissed Miko's forehead and kissed her son. "I will give him everything: strength, power, freedom, wealth, the world, everything."

Miko already knows Ei would do anything for their son. They will protect him with their lives on the line, and they will not let anything bad happen to him. That's how much they absolutely love their child; after all, having a child has been their lifelong dream.
