Trip

"That is the worst hangover I've ever had," Beidou groaned as she rubbed her temples and Ningguang gave her water. While their daughter, Qiqi, looked worriedly at Beidou.

"Mama...stop....drinking," she says, poking Beidou in the face.

"See, even your daughter is asking you to stop drinking," Ningguang scoffed.

"I can't help it, kid," Beidou laughed. "Drinking is a part of my life, but I will try to limit my drinking for you, does that sound good?" she asked, poking Qiqi's nose, which caused her to pout.

"Yes,"

Beidou smiled and kissed her daughter on the forehead. The dining room doors open, showing the other family. The electro archon groaned as they sat down.

"I think I'm going to pass out," Ei sighed. "The worst is a hangover,"

Scaramouche simply giggled at her mother while poking Ei's arm. "Mama....drunk....funny,"

"Mama is funny when she's drunk, isn't she?" Miko giggled as she placed Scaramouche on her lap and fed him.

Scaramouche giggled back, and Ei gave them a scowl, and they just grinned at her. "I'll send you a tourist so you can enjoy your time in Inazuma," Ei said. "I just know someone who can give you a tour; you'll meet her by the statue of.... me,"

"I see, thank you, Your Excellency," Ningguang said.

"My wife and son can accompany you; unfortunately, I have things to attend to," she sighed.

"I thought you were free? Why do you have work?" Miko whispered quietly to Ei.

"This is a serious matter, my love, and I promise to come find you right away," she said.

"That's too bad; you can't ignore the responsibilities of being a leader, can you?" Beidou giggled, and Ei just agreed. Except for Ei and Miko, they all left after eating breakfast. Miko first handed Scaramouche to Beidou because she wants to speak with Ei.

"Ei, what serious matter is this?" Miko said.

"Fatui's," Ei groaned. "It appears that delusions are spreading again in Inazuma, and I can't allow that happen,"

Miko's brow furrowed. Delusions can give you immense power and strength, but they can also drain your life and kill you. Miko sighed and approached, cupping Ei's cheeks and leaning in to kiss her. "Just...please...be careful?"

"I will, my dear," Ei said with a smile. "Enjoy your time with them, okay? I love you,"

It was already late afternoon, almost evening, and there was still no sign of Ei. Meanwhile, the family is buying anything they want in Inazuma City, whether it's kimono clothes, festival masks, other souvenirs, or delicacies, whatever Qiqi desires.

Meanwhile, Miko and Scaramouche are simply accompanying them and recommending good items for them; in short, they are tourists as well.

"Later in the evening, if you like, we can also have a fireworks show," Yoimiya remarked to the family, and Miko agreed.

"That would be amazing," Beidou giggled. 

"We may stay in Tenshukaku and go to the balcony and see the fireworks in Inazuma City," Miko stated. "It'll be a fantastic view, and I'm sure the kids will love it," she said, smiling.

"That seems like a good plan," replied Ningguang. "Although we will return first, Qiqi here is rather fatigued,"

"Can you take Scaramouche? I'll just find Ei," Miko asked, and Ningguang nodded. Miko gave Scaramouche to Beidou, who whined at first but soon calmed down after the captain gave him some candy.

Miko then told Yoimiya to prepare the fireworks for the city, and Miko wandered throughout Inazuma in her fox form, looking for her wife. She has looked everywhere, but there is still no sign of her archon, although she can sense Ei's presence gradually.

"Where the hell is that damn archon?" she hissed under her breath. Then a thought came to her, a location where Ei will go when she is tired, exhausted, or pondering about something. Miko is certain that Ei has already finished her job, and she expects that her wife will be tired and will go to that place to relax.

She raced to that spot in her fox form, unconcerned about being naked when she reverted to her human form, since she knows Ei will cover and protect what is hers. Besides, she may just return to her fox form and Ei will carry her home.

She then arrived at the place where everything began. The Chinju Forest. It was their most important and favorite place; they spent time here, unconcerned about the passage of time. They always come here because the forest has memories for them.

She saw her wife, sat down, and leaned against a tree, her eyes closed, her clothes stained with blood, and her polearm in her hand, the blade stained with blood.

She approached her slowly and returned to her human form. She didn't care about being naked; she simply wanted to clean Ei and treat whatever wounds she had. The archon slowly opened her eyes as she sensed someone sitting on her lap...naked.

Her cheeks got very crimson. "M-miko? W-what are you doing here? Naked?!" she said panickedly, looking around to check if anybody was around, then sighed relievedly. "Did you use your fox form?" she inquired.

"It's already night, my darling," Miko whispered quietly, "your son is worried about you, and so am I. We miss you, we'll have another fireworks show, and we'll watch it in the Tenshukaku. But....are you hurt in any way?"

Ei smiled softly at her, expecting Miko to reprimand her, but her wife is only worried about her. "I don't have any wounds, only blood," she explained. "I apologize if I caused you concern; I was tired and wanted to rest here first, and I'm sure I stink,"

"I'm sure they have a spare kimono for you to wear, I don't want our son to see you like this," Miko whispered as she rested on Ei's shoulder.

"Well, it seems like a good idea, will you accompany me?" Ei said, smiling.

"Of course, who would resist such an offer?" Miko chuckled as she kissed her archon.
