Arrival

It was early in the morning and Scaramouche was still sleeping in the arms of her mother, Miko. They were waiting at the docks in Ritou, waiting for their guests on Liyue.

"Have you set the reservation at Uyuu Restaurant?" Miko asked, and her wife nodded.

"They will stay in one of the rooms within the Tenshukaku. I'm afraid someone will target them here in Inazuma. After all, Ningguang will come here along with her wife and their daughter,"

"I see," Miko said. All of the leaders in each nation are expected to be hunted or targeted for being assassinated. One time, someone tried to kill Ningguang, and their heads were beheaded by the captain of the Alcor, Beidou.

Minutes after, the renowned ship Alcor has arrived. It's bigger than Ei thought, but it's expected of the greatest pirate captain in Liyue.

Three exited the ship, and it was Beidou, Ningguang, and their daughter in their arms, peacefully sleeping too. After all, it was early in the morning and the kids are always sleepy..

"Greetings, Lady Ningguang of Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing," Ei smiled as she approached and offered her hand, and Ningguang shook her hand and said, "Likewise, Your Excellency, and thank you for welcoming us here even though you don't have to,"

"How could I not welcome Liyue's respective ruler here? I have heard of you through your archon, and you have his respect and admiration," Ei grinned. "I'm genuinely surprised to hear that the entire Liyue defeated that.... monster within the sea without the assistance of that old man, that's outstanding,"

"You flatter me, Your Excellency," smiled Ningguang. "The people of Liyue must learn to be self-sufficient, and they are strong without the assistance of the adepti and our archon,"

"That old man will not stand by if his people are in danger and fails to defeat that monster," Ei chuckled. "He's proud of his nation; he's even boasting it to me,"

"Your Excellency and Rex Lapis are exaggerating," chuckled Ningguang.

Miko looked at their daughter and asked, "Is that..."

"Ah, my apologies for not getting to greet you, Lady Guuji Yae of the Narukami Shrine," Ningguang said with a smile. "This is my daughter, Qiqi, who is one year old and the same age as your son."

"She's adorable," Miko said, smiling. "Ah, right. Dear, let's take them to their rooms; I'm sure they're tired after their travel,"

"You're right; it was impolite of me to keep you here," Ei said.

Ei has shown them their room and let them to rest first; their voyage to Inazuma must have been exhausting because the seas of Inazuma are harsh; this is not because to Ei. It is generally brutal, but it became even harsher under the Vision Hunt Decree.

Ei and her wife went back to their own room and placed Scaramouche on their bed, tucking the bed sheets around him so he wouldn't get a cold. Ei walked to their balcony and breathed, the air was fresh and nice, the breeze was soothing, and she felt a set of arms around her waist and looked whose arm it was.

Miko mumbled as she kissed Ei's shoulders, "What are you thinking about so deeply?"

"Nothing, my love," Ei said softly as she turned to face her wife and held her from the waist as she drew Miko closer to her and laid her forehead on Miko's. "I'm just at peace," she says.

Miko gave her a sweet smile as she wrapped her arms around Ei's neck. It had been a long time since she had seen Ei so serene and bright. She was devastated when she lost her sister.... She was heartbroken, lost, and terrified of losing someone else, which is why she sought eternity.

"I love you,"

"I love you more," Ei said softly, kissing the tip of Miko's nose. "Don't you have any...work at the shrine or at your publishing house?" she asked.

"I finished it all, unlike someone who persisted on continuing to work even when she was done," Miko snorted, and Ei couldn't help but giggle at her wife as she kissed her on the lips.

"How could I possibly live without you, my kitsune?"

Miko laughed. "Right, how could you ever live without me; without me, you'd be a mess, and you wouldn't have experienced the love and family that we have right now,"

"Are you saying that if you didn't exist in this world, I wouldn't have any love?" Ei asked.

"After all, you're a foolish archon; you don't even know your feelings or how to sort them out; I have to do it for you, give hints, and help you realize you like me," Miko scoffed. "But you being clueless and clumsy at times is something I like about you as well, but just don't be stupid all the time,"

"How harsh of my wife," Ei laughed, "but I love you."

"Mhm, and I love you as well,"
