"Miko," Ei said softly, trying to awaken her sleeping wife on the bed. "Come on, get up, we promised Scara we'd take him to a picnic," Ei said, and Miko groaned in response; she despises mornings and isn't a morning person. She usually wakes up in the afternoons, which Ei has to deal with, but she doesn't mind. But this time they have a son to look after, so they can say goodbye to their lovely and peaceful sleep.

Ei sighed and went to her son, carrying him back to their room. "Wake up your mom, she can't resist you," she whispered to her son's ears before placing him on Miko. She groaned in response, but not until she realized it was her son.

"Oh, baby, what are you doing here?" she asked, sitting up and hugging him.

"Mama....wake up," Kunikuzushi said as she pinched Miko's cheeks, it was his favorite thing to do, he always thought that his mom's cheeks is squishy.

"Right right, I'm awake," Miko chuckled, turning to face Ei and glaring at her. Miko, Ei knows, can't say no to their child, can't resist their child. Miko should perhaps practice restraint when it comes to Kunikuzushi; she should learn to say no.

"Yay!" he exclaimed as he jumped down and ran out of the room.

"You're really annoying, trying to use my son on me?" Miko hissed, and Ei responded with a chuckle before approaching her angry wife and kissing her on the lips.

"Didn't we promise him?" Ei asked. "I promise I'll make it up to you later night."

Miko smirked, she just know the perfect thing to do to Ei as her revenge, and that will remain classified information.

On their way to Chinju Forest, the family was strolling through the streets of Inazuma. It was where Ei and Miko used to go on dates, and it was their favorite spot. The citizens greeted them joyfully, and they couldn't help but squeal when they saw their son on their archon's arms. He was so adorable and perfect.

"They love you," Ei laughed, looking at her son. "Who wouldn't be in awe with this adorable sunshine?"

"Dear, let's hurry up to the forest," Miko said as she linked her arms with Ei. "Your wife is quite hungry,"

"Oh, my apologies," Ei chuckled. "What do you say, bud? Should we hurry up?" she smiled as she looked at her son nodding in excitement. "Alright,"

Ei and her wife were sitting on the picnic mat they had set up. It was Ei's idea to have a family picnic; their son was playing with the tanuki's, but Ei warned them that if their son got hurt, their lives would be over.

Meanwhile, Miko prepared their meals, which included fried tofu, dango milks, and tri-colored dango, her wife's favorite. Miko also bought the rainbow aester, which Ei and her son both enjoy.

Miko mumbled as she ate her fried tofu and fed Ei, "What made you suddenly have a picnic?"

"Well, that househusband in the Kamisato Estate suggested it," Ei chuckled. "A family picnic seemed nice, and it's been a long time since we've had one, but this time we're with our son," she said, looking at Kunikuzushi, who was having fun with the tanuki's.

"I had no idea this archon of ours was so fond of hearing other people's ideas," Miko chuckled. "But, Ei, thank you for this picnic; it was a great idea," she kissed her wife's cheeks, and Ei blushed. She's the same old Ei who gets easily flustered by Miko, and Miko loved it.

"I'm glad you liked it," Ei smiled, and Miko looked at her son, who was not looking at them, thinking this was the perfect opportunity to make her move on Ei.

She took a sip on her rainbow aester and she cupped Ei's cheeks and pulled her to her face and kissed her, she was giving the drink to her by kissing. When she pulled out, the kitsune smirked, satisfied at Ei's response.

Ei was stunned, she didn't moved, she just blinked until she blushes like a tomato.

"I-it's sweet," the archon said as she looked away from her wife and Miko chuckled in response.

"Of course it is, why wouldn't it be? It came from me, after all," she chuckled sheepishly as she fed Ei her fried tofu once more.

"But still, don't pull that move again, what if our son sees us," Ei sighed.

"He'll just ignore it, he'll just think his parents are being sweet to each other," Miko grinned, and Ei simply looked at her and shrugged. Their son ran up to them and sat on Ei's lap; he was exhausted, and Ei quickly provided him with something to drink and eat.

"Slow don't, you'll choke," Ei chuckled. "Did you enjoy playing with the tanuki's?"

Her son nodded and continued to eat the tri-colored dango and other snacks brought by Miko. After they finished eating, Ei picked up their picnic mat while Miko carried the basket, and they went for a walk with their son in the middle.

"I'm sure you're exhausted, bud," Ei said. "Are you totally certain you don't want me to carry you?"

Scaramouche shakes his head, "No," but Ei knows he's tired, and he's stubborn like her. So she knelt down and swoop Scaramouche, carrying her with one arm, and her son protested but eventually gave up because he was so tired, minutes after he fell asleep.

"Having a family isn't so bad," Miko said, clinging to Ei's arms. "It takes your attention away from your massive workload,"

"I do take breaks," Ei replied, and Miko scoffed. Ei was the type of person who drowned herself in work; after the incident of pursuing Eternity, when she returned to her rightful position as the leader who leads Inazuma, she was swarmed with workloads; it was a pain, but she had to do it.

"Please, I have to force you out of your room for a few minutes," the kitsune mocked, "or rather, I have to entice you with dango's."

"Well..." Ei tried to give a response, but she is unable to reply to her kitsune wife. "I'm the leader of Inazuma, of course I'd have a lot of work and I have to finish it quickly, it's my responsibility," Ei sighed.

"Even if it's your responsibility, learn how to take breaks," Miko sighed. "Now we have a son, give him some of your time, and to me,"

Ei sighed and looked down at her son, who was sleeping peacefully on her. Her face softened as she heard her son snoring lightly. "I...I will do my best to take some breaks and give you both enough time,"

Miko kissed her wife on the cheek; Ei deserved it.
