Nyx

I felt the air change around me. I was no longer sitting on the floor of my room. I was standing. I hoped with all of my heart I had made it to Asgard. That didn't change the fact I was afraid to open my eyes. I was afraid that I didn't make it to Asgard.

"Lady Nyx?" I opened my eyes.

It was Heimdall. I smiled. I made it. I wished I had time to reminisce and enjoy being here, but there were more important matters. I had to tell him and Thor about Loki.

"It is good to see you again, Heimdall. I wish it was under better circumstances." I bowed.

"What is it, Lady Nyx?" I frowned.

"It is Loki." Heimdall looked surprised.

"Lady Nyx, I have not seen Loki since he fell that day." I sighed.

I knew that there was a chance that Heimdall hadn't seen Loki in the eight months I had been on Earth. That would just make this harder.

"I know it seems impossible, but I was on Midgard. I heard his voice, Heimdall. It was strained, but it was him. Heimdall, I know Loki better than anyone. I know his voice. You must take me seriously. I don't know why he spoke to me, but I do know he is coming to Midgard. Why is the Tesseract on Midgard? Why isn't it here on Asgard?" Heimdall didn't show anything on his face.

His silence didn't sit well with me. I grit my teeth. I was so tired of people doubting me!

"Why does no one take me seriously anymore!" I started walking away.

I went down the bridge. I didn't bother looking around me. I missed my home, but I was hurting. Why did I ever consider doing this? This place hasn't changed. Nothing has changed! I was so wrapped up in my own thoughts I didn't hear my name being called.

"Nyx," a hand was placed on my shoulder, "how are you here?"

I turned to see Thor. I smiled at him even though I was angry.

"It is pleasant to see you. I wish it was under better circumstances. I fear the Tesseract has left your fathers Treasure room." Thor looked confused.

"Father doesn't have the Tesseract," I was surprised, "what? Then what was the blue casket the Frost Giants were after during your Coronation?"

He shook his head.

"It was not called the Tesseract. That's an artifact from Jotunheim. The Casket of Winters. The Tesseract was lost when my father went to battle with the Frost Giants when I was a baby." What?

That was not good. That means that the Tesseract could have been on Midgard for years before we arrived. That didn't bode well.

"Nyx, why are you here?" I glanced up at Thor.

I was going to tell him, but my gut told me he wouldn't take it well.

"I don't have much time. Thor, I think Loki is alive." Thor's face lost all its color.

"You must be mistaken Nyx. Loki died." I shook my head.

I knew it.

"I heard him, Thor. His voice. You know he and I had a connection like no other. He told me he was coming to Midgard. He told me what he was coming for. I know your brother would've never told me he was coming for the Tesseract. Not if he was going after it willingly," Thor looked worried, "I think he is trying to warn me Thor. Why would he tell me what he was after? It makes no sense unless he was trying to protect me. I know your brother Thor. I know he is jealous of you, he wants to be king, but I am one of the two women in his life he would do anything to protect. He is alive, but I fear after falling into the wormhole something or someone did something to him. Please don't ignore my words. My instincts. I have been searching for eight months in Midgard time. I know this was Loki. We must prepare, Thor. I wouldn't be astral projecting myself here if I wasn't sure I was right."

He met my gaze. I saw the doubt on his face. He didn't believe me. After everything? He was going to ignore my words again?

"I'm sorry Nyx. I have mourned him. We have accepted that he is gone." I shook my head.

"I had to also. I mourned him months ago, Thor. However I know what I heard. I may sound crazy, but my duty is to Asgard and Midgard. If I have even an inkling Loki survived then I'm going to warn you. I'm not going to leave the citizens he may come after without a chance to defend themselves. I risked everything for this. I outed myself the last time I was in Asgard. I could never come home. I wouldn't risk astral projecting myself here if my concerns were without merit." I glanced behind Thor.

Heimdall was standing there watching us. His gold eyes met mine. Thor placed his hand on my shoulder.

"You should return to Midgard, Nyx." I frowned at him.

Thor hasn't changed at all.

"Will you think about what I said?" Thor's brows furrowed.

"No. Loki is dead. Let him go, Nyx." I scoffed.

"You haven't changed Thor. I mourned him during the two months I was mourning my home. Do not tell me what I should and shouldn't do. Goodbye." I was back in my room on Midgard.

I opened my eyes and found Hawkeye in front of me. Great. Another problem.

"What were you doing?" I glanced at the gun in his hand.

"I was warning Asgard. Well their Prince. He hasn't changed. I was simply warning them Loki might be alive. They didn't believe me. It's just like it is here. Fury doesn't trust me. Only Phil does," I placed my head in my hands, "this isn't easy for me either. I lost my home because of Loki. I will always love Asgard because it was where I was born. However, my home is here now."

Tears were falling. I was so tired of the doubt. My merit being based off a childish Prince. I could think of nothing but my parents. I wished they were here. Alive and by my side. I curled up into a ball. I tensed when I heard someone sit down next to me. A hand was placed on my head.

"It's okay kid. I believe you." I bit my lip.

I didn't sense he was lying. I leaned against Clint.

"Thanks, old man." He chuckled.

"Anytime, kid. Anytime."

Thor

After Nyx left I went to Heimdall.

"Have you seen him Heimdall?" Heimdall sighed.

"I haven't my Prince. Though, he could be alive. It isn't the first time I have not been able to see. The day the frost giants were let in during your coronation. I didn't see that happen. Loki could be alive my Prince." I looked out over the stars.

"Then we do not stop searching," I looked at Heimdall, "if I've learned anything it's to trust Nyx. She grew up alongside us. If she says Loki is alive then I will believe her."

I walked away.

We will find him Nyx, I promise.
