Nyx

I was next to Phil as we waited for Fury. He was currently in a meeting. I thought back to how Loki reacted to seeing me. I knew I told him I was dead, but that was a test. He should've been able to detect my lie. His mind was far more broken than I thought. I stepped aside to a computer.

"Rogue?" I stopped at the sound of Phil's voice.

I looked at him. He tilted his head at me. I looked down at the ground. I didn't know if I should talk to him about my concerns.

"Nyx what is it?" I shook my head.

"Something isn't right. I understand Loki is a threat, but there's things he has done that make no sense," I brought up Loki's file on the computer, "Loki is the god of mischief and lies. It was his title on Asgard, but he was not known for lies. He could detect them. I tested him today. I lied to him. He believed it."
Phil came up next to me.

"What else?" I smiled.

"This," I pulled up footage of the day Loki spoke to me the first time, "this was the day that I first heard Loki's voice. This was the day Protocol Tessa was put into place."

Phil looked surprised.

"You're saying that Loki warned you?" I met his eyes.

"I know it sounds crazy, however I've also been looking something up. Loki looked odd when he came through the portal. I know Loki. I know this is a shot in the dark however I believe he is being controlled. I believe he's also going through what you call side effects," Phil cocked his head, "his scepter is powered by something called the mind stone. While on Asgard I studied as much as I could including six artifacts called the infinity stones. I shouldn't have this knowledge, but I do. I snuck into the restricted section of the library on Asgard. I fear that along with being tortured, Loki has also become addicted to the affects mind stone. Like a poison. He looked terrible because he was fighting. Loki is fighting the effects of the mind stone. I am loyal to Earth, but this is one thing I will not keep quiet about. Loki did unspeakable things, but something tells me his actions aren't his own."

I closed out Loki's file. I turned to Phil.

"I know it's far-fetched and it may seem I am reaching, but I am positive he is being controlled. My final reason is a more physical one." Phil had his arms crossed.

"I'm listening, Nyx." I smiled sadly.

"His eyes. They aren't the right color. They are the color of the stone in the scepter. His eyes are green, now they're blue just like Barton and Selvig." His demeanor changed.

"You're sure about this?" I crossed my arms this time.

"I am. Without a doubt. However, that doesn't mean he still isn't a threat. We do not know who is controlling him, clearly we know what they want or else Loki wouldn't have taken the Tesseract. I fear that the person controlling Loki will someday be a problem for Earth," I met Phil's eyes, "so we must bring together the Avengers. Make your plan a reality. Myself included. Where do you want me, Dad?"
Phil smiled at me.

"I will call Romanoff, I think it is best you handle Banner." I turned to the computer.

I pulled up Banner's file. I watched the video file. I looked at Phil.

"When do I leave," Phil smiled at me, "the jet is ready. Do you need back up?"

I smiled.

"No," I hugged him, "just get Romanoff and stay safe okay?"

I pulled away and left. I had a bad feeling. I hoped that everything would be okay.
