It's been a year today since we haven't changed houses. We're still in Bucharest and I wouldn't change anything. I truly hope that the bad guys forgot about us and will let us alone. Papa still doesn't want me in school but he still teaches me a lot of things. Now I know how to calculate with addition, subtraction and multiplication. I still have to learn the divisions that my dad said but we got time. Everything is gonna be fine and we'll have the life we deserve. My father and I are making some errands. We're buyings some things for the week such as meat, pasta, vegetables and fruits.
"Oh Papa! Can we buy some plums please?" I ask.
"Didn't I buy you some last week?" He answers, smiling at me.
"Yeah but I ate them all."
"I bought you a big bag, you already ate them all?"
"What? It's just so delicious!" I say.
Papa chuckles before asking a lady some fruits without forgetting the plums. We start walking again before my dad stops. I look at him to understand until I look at the direction he's looking. There's a man in a newspaper stand staring at us. As my father and I come closer to the stand, the guy runs away leaving us confused. Papa picks up the newspaper and we look at it. The cover has my dad on it.
"Look papa, it looks exactly like you." I whisper to my father.
"We need to go." My dad says nervously.
We walked home quickly. As we enter the living room we see a man with his back turn from us. But this man, I remember him way too much. I'm so happy to see him.
"Uncle Stevie!" I say, excited.
The blond man turns around and smiles at me but before I can go and hug him, my father grabs me and pulls me back next to him.
"You stay close to me, understood?" He says firmly but gently.
Papa turns back to Steve.
"Do you know me?" Captain America says.
"You're Steve. I've read about you in a museum."
"I know you're nervous, both of you and you have plenty of reasons to be. But you're lying."
Uncle Steve comes closer to us.
"I wasn't in Vienna. I don't do those sorts of things anymore." My dad answers.
"Well, the people who think you did it are coming here now and they're not planning on taking you alive."
"That's smart. Good strategy."
"But they're planning the exact same thing for your daughter." Steve continue.
"They want to kill us?" I ask.
"I'm not gonna let that happen doll, don't worry." My dad says smiling.
"This doesn't have to end in a fight, Buck."
"It always ends in a fight." He says taking off his glove to reveal his silver metallic arm.
"You pulled me from the river, why?" The Captain asks.
"I don't know."
"Yes, you do."
Steve turned around towards the glasses of the windows that just broke. Papa puts me behind him to protect me from anything that could happen. A grenade comes right in front of us, my dad kicks it to Steve and he puts the shield on it to prevent the explosion from blowing up. Soldiers come through the windows and the two adults start fighting them. Another soldier comes through the balcony's door. Captain America takes the guard's gun in his hand while papa kicks him, knocking him out.
