We are all watching Tony and Rocket as they finish making and preparing the glove for the snap. Everyone is suited up, ready to be protected as we would use the stones.

"Alright, the glove's ready." Rocket informs us. "Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?"

Thor approaches us, stumbling a bit on his feet. "I'll do it." He says.

"Excuse me?" Stark asks him, clearly not agreeing.

Thor ignores him and goes to take the gauntlet. We all get in his way, trying to dissuade him. "Thor, just wait. We haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet." Steve explains.

"I'm sorry, what? We're all just sitting around for the right opportunity?" He replies.

I sigh, "We should at least discuss it."

The God puts his hand on my shoulder, "Look, sitting here looking at the thing is not gonna bring everybody back." He turns back to everyone, "I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So, this responsibility falls upon me. It's my duty..."

"Normally, you're right. It's not about that." Tony tries to stop him.

Thor frowns, "It's not that, shhh. Stop it! Just let me." He says drunkenly, "Just let me do it. Just let me do something good. Something right."

"Look, it's not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent. I'm telling you, you're in no condition" Tony tells him.

He chuckled, "What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?"

"Cheez Whiz?" Rhodey comments and I keep control as best I can to keep from laughing in this very serious situation.

Thor points at War Machine in a way that says 'Yes, but shut up' before looking back at Stark, "Lightning."

"Lightning won't help you, pal. It's gotta be me." Banner declares. "You saw what those stones did to Thanos. They almost killed him. None of you could survive."

I frown, "How do we know you will?" I asked him, worried about losing someone else.

"We don't. But the radiation's mostly gamma. It's like... I was made for this." He explains.

I scoff, "If anything, I should do it." They all look at me with the same expression. A clear no is readable. "Listen, guys, I've got the essence of two of the stones inside me. My powers come from the Power Stone and the Mind Stone." I try to explain.

"Lydia, it doesn't matter. You are not getting close to this thing, am I clear?" Steve warns me. I open my mouth to argue back, "Am I making myself clear?"

I nod and Banner takes the glove in his hands, "Good to go, yeah?" Tony asks him.

"Let's do it." He answers.

Stark steps back, "Okay, remember everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago you're just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last five years."

Bruce nodded, "Got it."

Rhodes and Scott put their mask on as Thor uses himself as a shield for Rocket and Tony puts on his armor and shields Clint and himself. To make sure every single person stays safe, I build a protective barrier around everyone. "Friday, do me a favor and activate Barn Door Protocol, will you?"

"Yes, boss." We hear the robotic voice say before the whole compound gets in lockdown mode.

Bruce slowly inserts his hand in the gauntlet as it adjusts to his size. As soon as he's in it, the power of the stones takes over him. He groans as his arm begins to burn from the strong energy. "Take it off! Take it off!" Thor tells him.

"No, wait. Bruce, are you okay?" Cap asks.

Banner continues to grunt, "Steve, he clearly isn't. This is killing him." I reply with worry and fear.

"Talk to me, Banner." Stark tells him.

Bruce regulates as much as he can his breathing and mumbles, "I'm okay."

Thor gives him thumbs up. Banner yells as he brings his two fingers together and he finally snaps. He collapsed to the ground, his arm charred. "Bruce!" I shout as I kneel down next to him.

Clint kicks the glove away and Thor goes to move our hurt friend, "Don't move him." Steve warns everyone. Tony soothed the burn on his arm with firefighting foam.

The protection walls started to lift off, "Did it work?" Bruce asks us.

I close my eyes for a second, "We're not sure yet. But I have hope, alright. It's okay." I reassured him. I hear a cell phone buzzing, but I do not care. It's not the time, I tell myself.

"Honey." Clint says and I spin my head in his direction. His family is back? It really worked?

"Guys, I think it worked." I hear Scott faintly say in the other room.

The room suddenly becomes more dark and I look up at the sky to see a ship shooting missiles at us. Everything explodes around us and the building starts to collapse. Everyone falls down with it and gets separated. I land on my back and gasp for breath for a moment. As I finally catch my breath, I see a piece of the compound fall on top of my left leg. I groan loudly as I feel the massive weight of it on me. I pull it off with my power and stand up miserably. I use scraps to hold myself upright as I hear Rhodey's voice in my comms earpiece, "Mayday, mayday! Does anybody copy? We're on the lower level. It's flooding! We are drowning! Does anybody copy? Mayday!"

"I'm right above you guys. I can try to get down, but I can hardly walk." I explain. No one answers, "Hello? Are you there?" Once again, I am left with silence. "Guys?!" I swear under my breath and try to find my way, limping. As I make my way to them, I fall upon Scott. "Oh my god, finally someone."

"Hey, I heard what you said. I was going to help them too. I got it, you can go find the others." He tells me.

I frown, "Are you sure?"

Lang gave me a half-confident smile, "Yeah, go find Cap and get out of here."

I nod and, just as I'm wondering where to go, I see light coming from above. I start walking towards it and, to my surprise, my leg doesn't hurt as much as before, thanks to my super soldier serum. I get there as fast as I can and finally see Steve and Stark. "Guys."

They turn to me, "Lydia, are you okay?" Uncle Steve asks me.

"My leg could be better, but overall I'm fine." I answer. "Although, I think the fact I am a super soldier is helping a lot here."

Steve hugs me, "Come on."

We walk a bit before finding Thor just standing there, looking at something in the distance. As we get closer, we see Thanos sitting on a rock. "What's he been doing?" Tony asks.

"Absolutely nothing." He replies.

I frown, "And where are the stones?"

Stark sighs, "Somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have them." He says.

"So, we keep it that way." Cap declares.

"You know it's a trap, right?" Thor questions.

Stark clicks his tongue, "Yeah. I don't much care."

"Good. Just as long as we're all in agreement." He tells us before his eyes begin to glow a light blue and a thunderstorm appears. The God of Thunder lifts his arms and small strikes of electricity make their way around him. As a lightning strikes him, he changes from his casual clothes to his usual Asguardian armor and Mjolnir and Stormbreaker land in each of his hands. "Let's kill him properly this time." Thor says as the lightning disappears.
