Izuku ended up taking him to recovery girl. She quickly got him awake with some cold water. As Katsuki came to, he heard Aizawa's voice.

"How did this happen?"

Izuku stammered out a vague explanation. "W-Well, I told him a s-secret, and I guess it shocked him so much, i-it made him faint." He pulled his sleeve over his hand.

Aizawa pressed, "What did you say? Bakugou isn't one to get so worked up over something as small as a secret."

The two noticed Katsuki awake, and Izuku felt himself shrink under ruby red eyes. He couldn't tell if the stare was murderous or conflicted. Aizawa began to question Bakugou, but he shrugged it off. Aizawa gave up and sent them back to the dorms. It was a long, silent, and painfully tense walk. Bakugou refused to speak.

When they got to the dorms, Izuku tried to separate to see his friends, but Bakugou grabbed his wrist and drug him towards the elevator. The moment the doors shut, Izuku broke the silence.

"I know you're upset, but we can just sev-"

"Shut the hell up, Deku!" Bakugou snapped. "We're not cutting the fucking bond."

Izuku's mouth dropped open. All the talk, all the insults – why didn't he want the bond destroyed. Bakugou always told Izuku to die, even telling him to jump off of roofs.

Bakugou's voice was soft yet course. "Do you want to sever it because you think I hate you?"

Izuku felt a chuckle escape his throat. It was almost like Katsuki had said a joke. "Kacchan, I know you do. It'll save me the death threats, and it'll save you the embarrassment of having me as a soulmate."

Bakugou was cruel to Izuku more out of a habit, a god-complex of sorts, but that came crumbling down after finding out Izuku was his soulmate. All his life, he was told he was rude and impossible to be around, and in Bakugou's mind, he believed his soulmate would love him just the way he was. It was shattering to know that Denki was right, his soulmate was hiding from him this entire time.

"K-Kacchan?" Midoriya called.

The elevator doors opened, and once again, Bakugou grabbed the other's wrist and pulled him along. Izuku yanked his arm back, frustrated.

"Stop dragging me around like a rag doll." Midoriya huffed. "Let's just sever it here."

Bakugou scowled at him and Izuku recited, "I sever our bond and –"

Katsuki let off the biggest and loudest explosion he could, shattering the windows and scorching the area around him. Izuku flew back a couple feet. The alarms went off and the class evacuated out of the building, and Aizawa showed up on the scene. Izuku and Katsuki were boiling into a fight. Aizawa shut off their quirks and separated them. The teacher soon found out what was riling them up.

"Kacchan, just sever the bond!" Izuku growled. "I know you're not happy with it!"

Bakugou retorted, "It doesn't fucking matter if I'm happy with it, you're my soulmate! I'll fucking deal with it!"
