It was midnight, pitch black outside. Everyone was snoring, except for Bakugou. He was tossing and turning every ten seconds. He had a strange urge to reach out for Izuku, but of course, the green haired kid was in his own room.
Bakugou sat up, looking around his dark room. A cold chill brushed against his skin. That slosh of loneliness squirmed in his stomach, and Midoriya came to mind.
After a brief thought, he climbed out of bed and went knocking on his soulmate's door. It took a few knocks for Izuku to answer, groggy eyed.
"Kacchan?" Izuku croaked with a tired voice. "What are you doing. Aizawa is gonna be upset you're out of your dorm room."
Bakugou didn't waste a second, walking into the other's dorm. "I can't sleep alone."
"My bed isn't big enough for two."
Katsuki didn't care and plopped on the mattress under the covers. Midoriya wanted to argue, but he didn't have the energy. Instead, he closed his dorm door and crawled in bed next to him.
It was a tight squeeze on the small mattresses, but Bakugou brought them close together with an arm. That uncomfortable from before disappeared, allowing him to finally sleep.
When Midoriya fell asleep, his back was to Bakugou's, but when Bakugou woke up at the crack of dawn, he saw Izuku turned towards him. His soulmate was clinging to his torso, softly snoring.
Instead of waking the other up, he watched his soulmate sleep. Bakugou laced his fingers through Izuku's curls, staring at his mark. A sense of responsibility and protectiveness hit him.
"That half and half bastard is trouble." He muttered to himself. "If he thinks he could take my soulmate from me, he's wrong."
Izuku stirred a bit as the sun from the window hit his eyelids. The sleeping figure stretched and clung onto to the other even tighter, trying to get more warmth.
"I thought I had to make it up to you before I can get cozy." Bakugou smirked.
Midoriya took a long breath, only half awake. "Yeah, but I can be cozy all I want."
Katsuki smirked. "I'm gonna push you out of the bed."
"Don't you dare, Kacchan. Or I'll never sleep next to you again."
Bakugou rolled his eyes and sat up, but Izuku was firmly gripped around his torso. The sleepy teen groaned at the sudden movement. He refused to let go.
"Hey, we gotta get up." Bakugou advised, trying to untangle himself.
Izuku whined, "I'm still tired, and it's only five or something."
Bakugou stared down at him. "Hey, sit up and look at me."
Izuku groaned like a child and slowly sat up with an exhausted scowl. Katsuki bit back a smile, seeing his soulmate look so silly. Swiftly, he leaned in and kissed Izuku for a bit longer than a peck.
Izuku punched his arm. "You're a jerk! You can't do that when I'm tired!"
Bakugou shrugged, "Awake now?"
Izuku fell back on the mattress and threw the blanket over his head. Bakugou stood and scoffed, "Come on, you need to brush your teeth anyway."
Izuku shot up and scowled, "Hey! What's that supposed to mean?"
