Midoriya felt ill as Aizawa saw him sprinting towards the oncoming villain hoard with Shoto. He went to grab them with his scarf, but Kuroguri quickly protected them.

Shoto guided Izuku behind the army of villains, greeting Dabi. The burnt man smirked, "Soulmates last forever, huh? Yeah, right."

Izuku was gutted but forced a smile to not seem suspicious. He felt Todoroki lace their hands together as a portal appeared in front of them. Dabi urged them to go through and leave the fighting to the others.

Midoriya looked back to his teacher, but all he got was a glare of broken trust. The green-haired kid had to remind himself why he was doing this and followed Shoto through the portal.

He found himself in some bar, and the first person to greet them was Shigaraki. "Ah, the newest recruit! I won't lie, I was a bit skeptical at first, but helping Todoroki is something I can't take for granted."

Izuku wasn't sure how to reply. He was still a bit focused on Todoroki's touch, almost being replused by it. He wasn't sure how long that he'd have to play along before he could see Bakugou.

Kuroguri appeared behind the bar as the rest of the villains poured in from a newly opened portal. Some were roughed up while some were untouched. It make Izuku fearful for Aizawa's wellbeing.

Dabi made his way up to Shoto and Izuku. "So, tell me. Why is the soulmate mark still on his finger?"

Todoroki was agitated, remembering the mark, but it wasn't towards Izuku. Izuku held it up and repeated the same sob story he told Shoto – how is was terrified of Bakugou and added on how he felt pressured by his mother.

"I think the universe messed up, pairing him and I together." Izuku lied.

Shoto placed his hand over the mark. "Let's go fix that right now."

Izuku tensed as Shoto took a harsh grabbed on his wrist and pulled him down a hall. Dabi and Shigaraki followed for protection reasons.

"Todoroki-kun, my arm!" Izuku hissed, yanking it away. He examined a slight burn mark.

Shoto immediately put ice on it and apologized. "I'm sorry, Midoriya. I just want this to be over with so we can get on with our lives without him."

"If you wanna keep him, don't be like that abusive asshole," scolded Dabi.

Him and Shigaraki stepped inside the room where Bakugou was being kept. Izuku was on edge. One wrong move, and this whole plan can go to hell. While Shoto was busy helping his wrist, Izuku stealthily sent his location to Aizawa, hoping he was still okay.

Luckily, Shoto didn't notice what he was doing, his head too busy thinking. Once his wrist was cooled, Shoto looked up to Izuku.

"Ready?"

Izuku nodded. He was more than ready ... to save his soulmate. No matter how noble his actions were or the reasons behind them, the expression that Bakugou gave Midoriya would scar him for life.

Bakugou's voice easily revealed pain as he muttered, "I thought you forgave me."
