Lying was far from heroic, but Izuku had worries seeing the word 'league' pop up. When Shoto came back, Izuku lied, "Hey, Todoroki-kun, may I borrow your phone. I just remembered I promised my mother I'd call her, but my phone just died."

Todoroki peered at the notifications on his phone. He texted something, cleared his notifications, and then handed it to Izuku.

Midoriya stepped outside of Shoto's dorm and immediately scanned for his messages. To keep Todoroki from being suspicious, he pretended to have a conversation with his mother. It was just incase he was listening.

"Yeah, I know it's late. I apologize I rembered so late." Midoriya pretended to apologize.

He open the message app, and the top contact was the unmarked one. Pulling up the messages, he read the one Shoto just texted: "I'm with Midoriya right now. Tell Shigaraki that I'll meet this weekend to sort out Bakugou."

Izuku's face immediately ran cold, and it felt like his heart plummeted to the core of the Earth. It was almost unreal reading the messages above.

... : Are you sure you're willing to join the league of villains for that kid? I thought you wanted to be a hero.

Todoroki : A hero like Endeavor?

... : You know what I meant. Once you're seen with us, your reputation will be gone completely. You'll be a wanted criminal as a teenager.

Todoroki : At least I'll be wanted. Goodnight.

"It can't be." Izuku whispered to himself.

The door behind him opened, and Izuku slung the phone up to his ear as if he was still on call. "Ah, yes! I've caught up thanks to Todoroki-kun. I swear it won't happen again."

Midoriya nervously chuckled to Todoroki. The other boy whispered, "I'm going downstairs for snacks. Tell your mother I said hi."

Shoto slipped passed him and disappeared into the elevator. Izuku let out a sigh of slight relief. He pressed his lips, unsure if this was a joke or not. If it was, it wasn't funny at all.

As fast as he could, he raced out of the dorm, taking the stairs instead of the elevator. He sprinted straight to the teachers' dorms.

At the League of Villains, Dabi sat up to watch Bakugou. The crew took turns watching him in case he tried to break free. Bakugou kept a firm scowl on the man.

"Damn it, this kid better be useful if I'm putting up with this." Dabi groaned, shoving his phone back into his pocket.

Bakugou sneered, "He would never betray U.A. like that half and half bastard. He's my soulmate, I would know."

Dabi snickered, "God you're so much like Endeavor." The insult slightly gutted him. Izuku had revealed to him what Endeavor really was like. "After all the shit you put him through, you wanna play the perfect soulmate now?"

"I'm nothing like that asshole!" Bakugou halfheartedly defended. "I'm not perfect, but I'll be damned if I give up."

Spinner knocked on the door, ready to switch with Dabi. As the scarred man stood and walked out, he delivered one last verbal punch.

"You talk as if you'll leave here alive."
