Todoroki looked at his hand. Suddenly, a white scarf shot out from behind, wrapped around his neck, and slammed him down to the ground. The scarf retreated to Aizawa.

Dabi growled, "That teacher from before!"

Shigaraki went for his phone to get back up, but Aizawa was ahead of him and sent his scarf flying.

"Bakugou, Midoriya!" Aizawa called. "Retreat outside. The entire building is surrounded!"

Izuku fretted, "And leave you to fight them off alone?"

"For once, listen when I tell you to run!"

Though Bakugou wanted to stay and fight, he knew Midoriya would be seriously hurt. He had a bad habit of pushing himself past his limit. Bakugou grabbed Izuku's arm and ran out the room.

Aizawa was worried about restraining Shoto, but Shiggy and Dabi were still ready to fight. Dabi raised his hand, but Bakugou was quicker.

Bakugou set off a serious explosion towards the pair, launching them back. It gave the pair a clearing to run. As they ran past, Dabi recollected himself and refocused on Aizawa. Shoto was pinned, but the hero's eyes were staring to burn.

"Shit," Cursed Aizawa as he gave into the sting.

A wave a blue flames went hurling in the man's direction. Luckily, they were suddenly knocked off course. Izuku had whipped around and launch a punch directly into Dabi's head. Though he wasn't using much of his power, the harsh impact into the concrete wall made him go unconscious.

Bakugou reappeared and yanked Izuku off, scolding him for breaking away. Shoto made split eyecontact with Midoriya as the freckled teen struggled in his soulmates grip. Like always, he wanted to stay and fight, but Bakugou wasn't having it.

The sight made Shoto lose it. "Give him back!" He yelled with more emotion than anyone had ever heard.

Aizawa lost his focus with Dabi's attack, he forgot about the reckless kid pinned below him. Fire erupted from his left side, forcing Aizawa to retreat back. As the flames died down and the smoke cleared, a line of ice appearing out of no where attached to the older man's leg. It traveled up and covered his eyes.

"Bakugou, he isn't yours! You never wanted him!" Shoto growled, pulling himself off the floor. "I want him!"

Izuku spoke up, "I don't want you! I want my soulmate, my Kacchan!"

Bakugou smirked, plopping an arm around across his soulmate's shoulders, "Give him back? He was never yours! A soulmate this awesome can't be shared."

Izuku smiled and blushed. Bakugou wasn't one for compliments, but when he did, Midoriya didn't take it lightly. Out of nowhere, Bakugou picked Izuku up bridal style.

"K-Kacchan!" Midoriya piped, wiggling I. the other's hold. "Don't pick me up like that! It's embarrassing! Aren't I heavy?"

Bakugou scoffed, "Calling me weak?"

Shoto let out a yell and sent ice towards the both of them. Bakugou flew right past him, giving a smug smirk as their eyes met for a split second. Izuku was huddled close in his chest, trying to endure the heat radiating around him.

Shoto couldn't understand why Izuku chose Bakugou, but those matching marks on their ring fingers were a clear sign of how this story ended. And no matter what he, himself, did ... his wound forever remain empty.
