Unchained Melody
~ The Righteous Brothers"Woah, my love, my darling
I've hungered for your touch
A long, lonely time
And time goes by so slowly
And time can do so much
Are you still mine?
I need your love"CHAPTER 21: HEY THERE, STRANGER
"Now what?" Luther questioned as he leaned up against a dumpster.
"Now nothing, Luther, all right? Make your peace with God." Five responded harshly, pacing around the small area of the alleyway.
Nadine sighed and crossed her arms over her chest, looking down at her feet. In a few days, they would all be dead, along with Eli, Will and the rest of the world. The stress of the situation was consuming her.
"What? What about Allison and Vanya?" The blue eyed Hargreeves sibling asked with furrowed eyebrows. He turned from his position to face Five, who now leaned forward on to the wall that Nadine sat against.
"Screw them both, alright? They should have been here." The boy spoke harshly.
Nadine shook her head and pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them and holding on to her shoulders. "It doesn't make any sense. They wouldn't just not come. Right?" The girl whispered to herself as Five walked away from her.
"What about Diego?" Klaus groaned from his spot on the floor. He grunted as he leaned upwards, pulling himself to a sitting position. "He's quite a responsible young man, no?" The man continued through moans.
"Something feels wrong." Nadine stated. She pushed against the wall and stood up, making her way over to the men. Five grunted and ran towards some cardboard boxes, kicking them roughly.
"Yeah, something must've happened to them." Luther agreed with the girl. She gave him a small nod in response, taking a liking to their new relationship. It's a lot better than hating him all the time.
"Screw Diego, all right? Screw everybody!" The boy yelled, flinging his arms around and pacing again.
"Ouch." Nadine muttered, walking to stand beside Luther who seemed a lot less likely to accidentally kick her out of blind rage —which she couldn't say for Five right now.
"I was better off on my own in the apocalypse." The boy stated with a glare that wasn't directed towards any particular person.
Nadine frowned, sharing a short glance with the taller man beside her. "Five! Come on." He spoke for the two of them with a stern face.
The boy turned and gave him a dry grin, tilting his head and walking towards them quickly. "You know what, Luther? It's every sibling for himself now." He spoke firmly, taking ahold of Nadine's wrist and beginning to move them towards the door to Morty's. "How bout that?" He added before opening the door and pulling her in, shutting it behind them.
