As I parked my car in front of John B's house, I heard the loud laughs of all my friends together. My heart warmed at the sound and the knot in my belly vanished a little. After a short walk, I finally glimpsed my friends at the back of the house.

They were all on the porch with a beer in hand. I smiled at the sight of them, all happy and joyful. John B, who was sitting on the top of the little steps leading to the porch, was the first one to notice me.

"Ah, Lexi! Finally, you're here!" My friend came to greet me with a gentle embrace. He then motioned for me to lead the way towards the porch.

"Sorry I'm late. But since I had a bit of free time, I thought that we would need some sweet treats for our movie night!" I replied, showing the little plastic bag in my left hand.

When they caught sight of it, stars appeared in the eyes of every single one of my friends. I wasn't the best baker on the island, but I must recognize that my cookies were quite popular among my friends and family. I grinned proudly at the thought.

"Lexi, you are the best!" Kiara praised me as she shook my wrist cheerfully.

I smiled and then straightened myself. "I know." I said cockily.

"Alright! Since everyone is here, I think the boys can go get the pizzas!" Sarah suggested.

As Kie stated how hungry she was, John B cocked his head to the side before looking at his girlfriend. "Babe, we don't need to be all three to-" He didn't finish his sentence because Sarah sent him a look full of subtexts. "Yes, absolutely. C'mon guys, let's go!" John B waved at JJ and Pope to follow him.

When the three boys were out of sight in the Twinkie, I dropped my cookies on the kitchen table and then went back to the porch where Sarah and Kie where chatting. I sat on the armrest of the couch where Kiara was seated and then my body fall on the couch with a loud sigh. My head rested on my friend's lap and she chuckled as she saw my face.

"Are you okay?" She asked with a laugh.

"I'm okay." I replied, closing my eyes. "I just want to spend a good night with you all. And not thinking of..." I left the end hanging.

"Boys?" Kiara finished with a teasing tone.

My eyes flashed open and met Kie's smirking face. I then glanced at Sarah on the opposite couch and discovered her guilty face.

"Don't look at her. Do I need to recall you that I'm with Pope? I already knew that something happened between you and JJ. I just needed to know what." She shrugged and glanced at Sarah.
