Stefan knocked on the Gilbert house when Jeremy opened the door.
"What do you want Stefan?" the younger Gilbert asked.
"I'm here to talk to Elena," he replied as he walked in and up to the brunette's room seeing her trying to hide.
"Stefan I don't want to see you, "said Elena.
He vamp sped in front of her and compelled her to listen to him.
"I came to Mystic Falls to see how my home has changed over the years and that's when I saw you. At first, I thought you were Katherine but then I heard the sound of your beating heart and I knew you weren't her. I let my fascination with you cause me to stalk you but I decided not to disturb your life and so I decided to leave however, the night I was leaving, I witnessed your parents' car drive over the Mystic Fall bridge and I went to save you all. Your mom already died and when I went to save your dad, he asked me to save you first and I did, but I couldn't save him. I decided to stay and I got to know you and fall in love with you but Elena I'm a monster, a ripper, someone who can't control how they feed. You saw how Damon is but I'm worse," he said.
"But Stefan your not a monster," said Elena.
"You don't get it Elena I am a ripper, a vampire whose hunger causes them to rip their victims apart. Elena, I see the way you look at me and I know you can't accept me for who am I but she does. " he said referring to Evie.
When I'm with her I don't feel the urge to rip anyone's throat out. I want to be with her because she makes me happy, she accepts me for who I am, she kind, she puts everyone before herself and ensures they always smile, and best of all she helped me fix my relationship with my brother. So Elena it's for the best so I'm breaking up with you," He finally said before leaving Elena who started to cry hysterically.
Elena grabbed her shirt as she felt like her heart was just torn into pieces.
"Please make it stop, it hurts," she cried out.
