Fuck it's weird seeing two vampires play video games like normal teenage boys I only know this because my room at college was next to dumb and dumber I call them, all night they would play but I think I found a new dumb and dumber.

"Your pet is with your slave right," Xander says

"Oh fuck yeah I have a pet yeah probably if she is in the hallway oh well Noah won't steal her," Darcy says.

"Fuck I hate you" Darcy yells when Xander wins.

"That's what happens when you play with me" Xander chuckles.

"Don't give me that look sweetheart I was a video game tester 375 years ago?" Xander says as Darcy just smirks.

"Fuck I don't even remember what I did yesterday, but thanks for playing with me I feel I don't know left out sometimes," Darcy says

"Hey don't be, family is above my sadistic nature to torture humans if you even need anything just knock no coming into my room though," Xander says.

"Your care for your little pet is adorable," Darcy says

My eyes just perk up as I almost snicker "You thinking that I care about her is cute, yes I know you care and adore your pet and don't worry I told her your little act but it doesn't mean I do all I care about is my need to torment humans" he says although it almost feels like his lying.

"Damn man why tell her I want her to fear me" Darcy chuckles as Xander walks over to my cage.

"No secrets between owner and pet, plus I don't want her to play the hero and worry about her friend, I don't need my little one getting a headache worrying about someone else," he says stroking my back.

"Sure sure, I am psychic remember that," Darcy says

"Get the fuck out of my room, dinner is in like 2 minutes" Xander chuckles Darcy just salutes then skips off walking out as I relax my muscles a little.

"He makes you nervous doesn't he not sure if I should be offended," Xander says playing with the end of my hair.

"Believe me if I was alone with him I would give him attitude," I say

"Yet being around vampires scares you, your all bark no bite Caelyn, that gets you nowhere but I don't want you to fear me," he says.

Am I scared of him?

Hell yeah but when I'm scared I do stupid things which I do when around him but I also know when to stay quiet "You want me to fake love you yeah I get it, sickens me but I get it it's all some false reality, false image" I say.

"You catch on quick, even we have to act, well I don't because what's the point well I do act when it comes to you, but some vampires are polar opposites then what they try to portray themselves as, Darcy a prime example, if your so worried about your friend don't be, if anything your the lucky one I give you undivided attention and affection, he feeds off of her when his hungry, plays with her maybe for a few minutes a day then leaves her in her cage he even left her in another town by accident, so don't worry she doesn't get whipped every morning, doesn't get raped, because he doesn't condone that, not every pet here is lucky but that's none of your concern you can't be the hero in this world anymore because your world has ended more, towns have been destroyed other countries it's over," he says

It's never over until you know for certain there is no looking back but in a sense knowing Zoe is okay makes me less concerned but he is right that's what got me here in the first place I didn't want to leave a town without a hunter I didn't want to hide when I knew I could try and help others, that's all I wanted to do was help "I don't want to be a hero" I say as he just opens my cage smirking.
