I just stare out of the window holding onto Caelyn who also fell asleep after a while, it is a way longer trip after we made the detour and I wanted to go through backroads instead in case that son of a bitch us following.

I'm just so confused right now I don't know what to do, my emotions, what the hunters said, why Levi wants my pet, there is something else I don't know, what she said, the promise, it concerned me because I feel like she wasn't talking about Levi she was talking about someone else but who, does she know who that witch is, does she know who the legacy is, so many questions and so little answers, I just gently move her hair out of the way then just gentle dig my claws in her neck to try and get into her memories as she does shift in my grip but I just pull them out nothing, I bring my mouth to the back of her neck sucking on the wound to heal it as I hold her tighter

Looks like she is going to hate me tomorrow because I need information from her, we drive through the sector as I smirk seeing the pet house on fire, clearly, they found out it was the truth not that I would have been annoyed if Caelyn lied, I would have found it funny if she did but being the little goody two shoes she is, she wasn't smart enough to do that I mean if I was hiding something I would have just kept lying it probably is good she is asleep so she doesn't wake up hating me, not that she should care Isaac just opens his eyes.

"Good sleep buddy you do know it's night so when we get home back to bed you go" I chuckle no one slept last night, I know Isaac sneaks out at midnight he tells me he goes to the bathroom but I know he sneaks to see Mia, I don't stop it, can't really be fucked, I just watch their talk on my tablet considering Caelyn is important to me not because I care for her but she is useful and I can't have him act out and try to kill her.

He just groans moving uncomfortably "You are being reckless with her you know that" he mumbles as I raise an eyebrow

"Do you know something?" I say

"No but I do watch, just keep a better eye on her if you don't want her to die even the closest person to you might want to steal something from you," he says, Darcy fuck I know my little brother wants her but is it going to be an issue I really don't know

"Yeah well her life is in your hands when we go to sector five if she gets hurt so do you, from now on if she gets hurt by anyone besides me it turns to you as well, your time is running out Isaac I want to ensure you will fit into my clan" I shrug, I gave him two options once he gets too old well his only a baby at the moment well his like 20 something forgot how old he is. I asked him if he wanted to die or be a vampire and he chose vampire that's why I got him to kill that girl, but my clan has a lot of qualities we follow, we are our enemies' worst enemies but our allies' closest allies, we protect our own and torment others.

"I hated her when we first met but now I see her as someone I want to look out for, she is yours and I need to serve you, it means serving her too," he says

"Good boy," I say just ruffling his hair as he just grumbles when the car stops, I would wake Caelyn up but she would struggle to go to asleep again as Isaac jumps out opening the door as I nod.

"Don't tell her about that either please?" I say pointing to the burning building as he just shrugs

"I won't," he says

"Your sister didn't know about this did she," I say

"No, she didn't mention it," he says, just testing him mainly because I would have known

"Good, I still can't believe we didn't know about that little mission but I guess I didn't have a pet," I say as we walk back into the house, Felix just waves me over, and I gently prick a needle in Caelyn's neck knowing this will ensure she won't wake up.
