Cordelia
I dreamed of the weather. The leaves tinted brown and orange, curling at the edges. They fell to the floor so that when you walked you could hear them crunch. The wind was brisk. Blowing the hair back and out of my face. Sometimes I would get the occasional tickle of a strand as it danced across my eyebrow and eyelashes. I smiled up at the sky. The sun was warm against my skin, and it gave the illusion that winter was not waiting around the corner.
A distant sound of chatter floated through the air towards me. It was muffled. The words clouded with a bubble. I listened closer. The voices sounded desperate, urgent. They got louder, the bubble slowly letting out air.
Cordelia, it said.
I stayed where I was, unsure of who or where the voice was coming from.
Cordelia, it said again.
A hand gripped my shoulder. I couldn't see it, but I felt it. It held on desperately, beginning to shake.
Cordelia, it said one final time.
I felt the urge to open my eyes. It took a tremendous amount of effort. Steadily, the blue of the sky and the brightness of theleaves bled out of view, and I was met with white. Blinding white light. I squinted my eyes back shut, the underside of my eyelids a bright pink. I blinked once. Twice. Three times. Twobodies stood over me, looking worried.
"Cordelia!" one of them said.
"Yeah?" I groaned.
"Oh, Delia! Thank God," I recognized Hermione's voice say.
"W-what happened?" I asked as I steadily sat up straight. Everything was hazy still but as I looked around, I noticed that we were in a forest not too dissimilar to the one from my dream. The only difference being the muted colors.
Harry crouched down to steady me. "You blacked out."
"Where are we?" I asked as I began to stand up. I wobbled slightly holding my hands out beside me for balance. "I thought we were supposed to be going back to urm... Grimmauld place?" I questioned.
"W-w we, we were there but Yaxley had a hold of me, and I knew once he'd seen where we were we- we couldn't stay there." Hermione explained. I suddenly remembered our lucky escape but then it dawned on me that I was the one with the locket. My eyes grew wide and I patted down my body, turning my pockets inside out.
