Mattheo's mother was still staying with the Harts. Venus agreed to take me home for a weekend to see her, on request from Cordelia. I sat beside her at the kitchen Island with a cup of tea in our hands.

"So, it's just the four of them then?" I asked, glancing down at the list she'd written previously.

"Yes... well, three." She said sadly.

"What do you mean?"

"It's come to my attention that Cole is no longer with us. She was Odette's twin brother."

"Oh, I'm so sorry." I said putting my mug down on the coaster. "How did he die, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I think he got sick." she explained. We stayed quiet.

"So, I'm looking for a Jay Watson, a Zoya Armani and a Nova Atkinson."

"Yes," she said with a smile. "Please."

"I'll try my best." I said. "Look, there's a type of magic I could use that will pinpoint their exact location but it requires a lot of energy... and sometimes blood." She looked at me skeptically. "Now I'm guessing you don't have their blood because why would you, but do you happen to have anything belonging to them?"

"Not on me, if I did, it would be either back at the house I was trapped in or it would be at The Riddle Manor, and I don't want to be going there."

"That's fair enough. Perhaps Flynn or Lorelei have something, hang on let me see if they're about." I got up from the kitchen stool and made my way to Flynn's office, knocking on the door.

"Yeah," he called out. I walked in, closing the door behind me. He sat at his desk, glasses sat on the bridge of his nose as he flicked through paperwork. "Ah, Leon my boy. How can I help?"

"Bit of an odd one actually." I said, sitting in the chair opposite him. "Do you remember your old school friends Jay, Zoya and Nova?"

"I mean, it's been a while. We drifted quite a bit since school. God, I haven't spoken to Jay in years. It's a shame really, we were on the quidditch team together. One of my best mates actually."

"Was it anything in particular that made you drift?"

"I can't remember actually," he said. "After our final year we all kind of went our separate ways. Obviously your parents stayed around along with Ezra and Roselyn but the others... they went off doing their own thing."

"Do you happen to have anything that might have belonged to them?"

"Like what?"

"Anything. Literally anything."

"Let me see." He got up from his desk and began scanning the room. "What about a photograph?"

"Urm. It might work."
