Today was the day. Everyone was running mad around the venue. I hadn't seen Mattheo since yesterday and I was growing more nervous by the second.

"Lexi!" I shouted. I was sat down at the mirror whilst makeup artists worked their magic on my face. She ran into the room.

"Yes, I'm here. I'm here." She said coming to sit beside me.

"How are the flowers?"

"Gorgeous."

"How's my mum?"

"Also gorgeous... although slightly tipsy."

"Already?" I laughed.

"One too many mimosas." We both chuckled. "The girls are all done with hair and makeup, just getting into dresses."

"You truly are the best maid of honour I could have asked for." I let out a relieved sigh.

"There will be no stress on your wedding day!" She grabbed my hand. "You look stunning by the way."

The makeup artist finished off before giving me the all clear. I thanked her and stood up. "Help me with my dress, would you?"

"Of course."

My dress was hanging up on the other side of the room. Mattheo and I had decided we wanted an outdoor wedding especially as it's July. We found a nearby private estate that had a beautiful garden and banquet hall for the after party. Rooms were included for the Bride and Groom and for selected family and friends. My dress was off the shoulder with delicate flowers embroidered all over. It fell out at the waist, ballgown style, with a slit down one side.

Lexi helped with the zip, moving my hair to the side. My red hair fell in spirals over my shoulder standing out against the white of my dress. Lexi turned me around. Her eyes began to well up as she took in my appearance. "You look lovely." She choked out her words.

"No, don't cry!" I laughed catching her tears with my fingers. "You'll ruin your makeup."

She laughed, looking up so the tears wouldn't fall down her face. "I have something for you." She went over to the dresser and picked up a small box. Inside the box was a beautiful tiara.

"Lex, I can't!"

"Yes, please wear it. It'll be your something borrowed." She said with a smile. I picked up the tiara she'd worn on her wedding day with Leon last year and placed it on my head.
