Hogwarts doesn't feel like home anymore. We walk the corridors shoulder to shoulder, too scared to take a step out of line. Ever since Dumbledore died, there's been an ominous vail draped over the castle. It's cold- uncomfortably so. A strict curfew has been set and now, none of us even want to go to the Great Hall for Dinner.

It's been two months since we've been back. And it's been two months of being a Slytherin Prefect. A couple of years ago I would have been so excited to get the role but now... it's not the same. Cordelia is also a prefect but without her being here, she can't fulfill her duties, so Lexi is stepping up instead.

I got Dee's letter a couple of days ago. Already I'm dreading what she's got herself into. My father told me about how she was spotted running through the Ministry of Magic with Harry, Ron and Hermione. And if he knew, Voldermort would definitely know.

I take a long sigh, sitting against the headboard of my bed. "What's up?" Lexi's voice calls out to me as she sits beside me.

"Hmm?" I look at her.

"Why are you sighing?"

"Just- just everything." She lays her head on my shoulder and I kiss the top of it.

"Wanna talk about it?"

"Yes." I say with another sigh. "But where to begin?"

"That is the question." I can hear the smile in her voice.

"What do you think Dee's up to right now?"

"She's probably in some random forest in the middle of England, not having a bloody clue what she's doing."

I chuckled. "That sounds about right."

"No, I'm kidding." She chuckles too. "I'd say they probably found another horcrux by now."

"Yeah I think they have," I said. "And what about Mattheo?"

"I think he's okay." She reassured me. "You're really good friends with him, aren't you?"

I look at her with confusion. "Well, yes. Of course."

She smiled. "I'm just- I'm really glad." She says earnestly.

"I didn't know what to think of him when he first arrived but honestly, I really like him."

"So do I. And I think he's perfect for Dee."

"Agreed." I said. "Do you think they'll be reunited soon?"
