........................

I scramble for my keys in my hands as I open the front door. And I can finally relax after a long hard day. If anything I was exhausted more mentally than physically.

Christian was going to be here any minute and I was honestly doubting myself right now. I knew he had a right to know but I'm terrified as to what his reaction may be.

I shut the door behind me and throw the keys into the bowl. The couch! It just looked so enticing after today. And just when I take a seat and get comfortable, the door bell rings.

I run my fingers through my hair and relunctly stand up to open the door, fulling expecting to see Christian. But instead, it was Austin. Behind him were a bunch of tough looking guys. They're carrying what appears to be black suitcases and I raise a brow, waiting for an explanation.

I haven't seen him since his minor breakdown. "We found something big", he announced as he walked into the house and the men follow.

"Our little play date got interrupted the other day so let me introduce everybody here. Let's see, we got Dexter here in the glasses, he the tech guy so to speak" he points to the man as he sets something onto the tables. He gives a small hand gesture and smiles. He had a little nerdy image going on, pretty cute for a tech guy.

"Over there with him is Aries, former special forces soldier, 14 deployment, unlucky bastard's 14th was with your father dearest", he admitted and I couldn't help but force a smile onto my face. Aries smiles and takes a fake bow.

"And if you're ever in need of a big mouth, smooth talker that can bullshit their way out of anything, Sebastian is your man" he added. He points over to man with one hell of a large body. "Don't let the tough guy image fool you, he's a douchebag at heart".

"So what's this all about?", I asked impatiently as I close the door behind them.

"We can confirm Argents plans. What you found is true, he is creating the ultimate weapon of mass destruction. It's designed to block out telecommunications and wireless military signals", he explained.

"Blocking an entire military grid..." I added, hoping to god this man couldn't get any more demonic than he already was.

"Looks like we came a little too late to the party because he's only got one component left to his device..." I hear Dexter speak up.

"Where do we find this thing?" I asked.

"That's where you come in", Austin interrupts. "There's a car Auction in New Haven tonight. An anonymous supplier shipped the car from Russia specifically to hide the chip inside it".

I was hoping for once that I would be wrong, that the Russian or Mexican cartels weren't involved in this. But that hope was quickly shut down.

I walked into the nearby room and pulled my travel duffle bag of weapons. What can I say? Some girls travel with a makeup bag, I travel with a weapons bag.

"Cars! Finally something I can work with! Be back soon.." I say and take my car keys from the table before he cuts me off

"Woah, woah! Where do you think you're going?" Austin laughed. I pull a double take, unsure what he's implying.

"Doing what you asked", I demanded. What else was I thinking of doing?

"Going to a multi-billion dollar car auction in Chuck Taylors? You never seize to amaze me, kid. No, I've got something specifically for you to wear..." He said as he unlocked a suitcase to reveal full length red lace dress. And I feel like I could physically hurl chunks.
