(Noah's P.O.V)
1 month earlier......
I hear the faint sound of a beeping machine, and at first I thought I was dreaming until my eyes began to slowly open, and through the haze, I see a distorted figure until my vision is clear again. The instant I clear up my vision, I fell a massive throbbing in my head, and it wasn't just a headache either. I hear a loud high pitch sound throbbing in my ears, and I cringe at the piercing sound. I don't understand? Where am I? The last thing remember was.......I don't even remember the last thing!
"Ms Pierce? Remain calm. You're at St Regions Neurology hospital in Montreal, Quebec", the nurse explains calmly, her heavy French accent apparent. But I was far from calm, I couldn't even remember how the hell I got here. How the hell did I end up in Montreal?! What the hell is happening?
I try to wiggle out of the bed it was no use. I felt a barrage of wires attached onto me, especially around my head. My instincts kicked in when I somehow have the energy to lift my arms and feel what felt so heavy around my head.
But all I felt were heavily wrapped bandages. "Neurology? What the hell happened!" I half yell, due to all my unapparent energy, I could barely let out a couple words.
"You were found with a gun shot wound to your head. The bullet missed your spinal chord by a fraction of a millimeter. Your extremely lucky to be alive", she explained. Confusion ran rampant inside my mind, that, and a hell of a lot to pain.
"Doctors had to perform emergency surgery to dislodge the bullet from your brain, but you're in recovery now, you've been in a lapsed coma for a 3 weeks", she continued. So many questions remained unanswered. And the one that was burning me the most was the fact that he wasn't by my side.
"But...I live in Connecticut, how did I end up in Quebec?" I asked impatiently. Before she has a chance to answer, someone else spoke up.
"I think I can help you with that", I heard a deep voice oozing. I look around to try and pinpoint who exactly this man was. His hazey figure appears from the doorway and he ushers the nurse out in a hurry with a quick flick of his head.
Without warning, the nurse is quick to leave the room, leaving me with the man. When haze cleaned from my eyes, I'm able to get a closer look at the man. Tall, extremely tall, dark hair, green eyes, and mean complexion to match. He didn't look familiar at all.
"Are you the doctor?", I asked impatiently as I clear my throat. His eyes starts down at me for a moment as he shuts the door and locks it behind the nurse. He slowly makes his way towards the bed side. It was as if he was in a deep thought and I couldn't understand why.
"No, I'm not the doctor. Do you....recognize me?" He asked, appearing slightly hesitant. I furrow my brows together trying to put a name to the face, but my mind remained blank for some reason.
"I don't understand what's happening. Can you please call Heath. He must be worried sick.....", I asked him. And the look on his face was an expression I had never seen before. He looked at me like I was crazy. And I didn't understand why? A moment passes with no reply, and I began to feel agitated.
"What's the very last thing you remember?" He questions. My mind begins racing, and the last thing I remember was around 2 months after San Juan.
"Who are you?", my voice changing tone. His lips form a smirk, the type you get when a thought runs through your mind. Who was this creepy guy? And why am I trusting him with this info?
