Here he is! Joey freaking Styles

......................................

Noah's P.O.V.

Rubbing my eyes vigorously, I let out a loud yawn as I stretched my arms . I was freaking tired to say the least, trying to dig up some dirt on this Joey Styles guy. I typed in the name on the data base computer, and out popped up a picture followed by his details.

A former Spec Ops soldier, with 16 deployments to his name, and currently working for interpol, in addition he's a military combat specialist. I had my work cut out for me. I glanced over at his picture to reveal an extremely well built man in his early 30's, pale green eyes and dark hair with a defined jawline. This must've been the man that almost ambushed me a couple of days ago.

This also explains his connection with Argent. They were military Spec Ops soldiers in their early days, with Styles climbing the military ranks and Argent becoming the shifty, good for nothing military geneticist that he is.

But I was still no closer to finding out Argent's motives, and why he needed the assistance of a corrupt Interpol agent. I knew that Interpol has something Argent wanted. Whether information or codes, or possibly weapons, it was hard to speculate unless I figure out what he plans to do with whatever he wants.

Maybe I could figure out what Argent is planning once my computer finishes breaking into all of Interpol's secured files. A handful of files jumped out to me, decrypted codes, illegal military weapons seized, but nothing seemed to connected with Argent.

This was not one of my best days. I gripped hold of the crutch and placed it under my left arm for support. I hate feeling restricted! It's been almost 2 days and I already I hate it, But according to Austin, I'm gonna be stuck with it for at least 6 weeks! Now that I know the reason for Austin's desire to 'assist' me, it doesn't change the fact that I still have suspicions.

It wasn't anything to do with him specifically, but if Christian believes he's trustworthy, I will stand by him. But then again, let's just say I have a lot of trust issues. The fact that I've adjusted to being alone for 3 years doesn't help either. I feel like a ticking time bomb, ready to explode at any given moment, because I knew Heath wasn't with me.

I miss him. I miss all the memories that we shared, whether good or bad, at least he was still here, alive and well, until he was taken from me. And there has never been one moment throughout these 3 years that I've deeply questioned my motives for going after Argent. It was for revenge, revenge for killing the one man who showed me unconditional and passionate love. And to make sure that no one else gets to suffer what I have already suffered for someone no more than 21 years of age.

I think if I had just sat back and not done anything, I would've done completely insane.

Blocking out anymore of my past memories, I opened the fridge and opened up another case of beer. I'm a girl that loves her beer, sue me! I flicked open the lid before a series of strange sounds halted me dead in my tracks. Someone was in my house. When you're as experienced as I am with ambushes, your senses heighten and you develop a sixth sense, so to speak.

And I could tell beyond a shadow of a doubt that someone was lurking around. I gently place the lid down on the counter and left my walking stick leaning against wall. I took a step back and let my eyes roam around the visible section of the house, tip- toeing over to a vent where I stored one of my many guns and weapons.

I drew my semi-automatic rifle and examined a hallways as I limbed over towards the back door, on the other side of the house. Leaning against a wall, I slowly peer my head over to the dark hallway, and there stood a large male figure, luckily not facing me. I immediately get back into position and hold the gun close to my chest. Floorboards faintly creaked as the figure inched closer. But I wasn't scared, not by a long shot. I took in a silence breath and prepared myself.
