"Just pulled some unexpected Intel. Here's what we've got so far. We know he's knocking on a very particular door, they've been engineering nuclear weapons for military purposes. But what we didn't know was where the funding was coming from". Karen explained. It didn't take a lot to convince me, but I knew putting my ego aside was vital, especially when time isn't on our side.

"The money wouldn't come from your run of the mill street gangs. These are high-profile, wealthy business men and powerful military leaders, all smuggled from offshore accounts. The street gangs are the ones with the dirt on their hands. They only add to the man power", I added.

"It makes sense. He's got direct and guaranteed access to any country in the world because he knows if he's caught, he can't be extradited anywhere. No extradition means no laws holding him back. Interpol's forced to take a back seat with their tails between their legs", Sebastian added. Having no extradition is one thing, but when he's got most counties in his back pocket, extradition doesn't frighten him.

"The only people capable of disarming the nuclear codes would be the world's top nuclear military scientists. With no international leaders intervening, no law enforcement, and no one to disengage the detonations, he's got the reigns. Not unless Litvinenko can duplicate what she found", I mentioned, emphasizing the last line.

"Interpol is just one source of money. He collects the investments from Interpol and corrupt national leaders, and he's smuggling guns, drugs and money to a new empire. He's supplying those weapons to terrorist, and he's the only one making the profit", Karen pitches before her phone rings.

"He's ready to watch the world get thrown into turmoil, to expose every corrupt detail about international affairs, all to watch the world burn"....

"And I thought you had anger issues", I added smugly.

"We'll start with the Cartels, it sets off a chain all the way through the ranks
They're gonna panic and rush to find a new supplier in just days", Christian said.

"Just got the tip from our inside man. Shipment's booked for tomorrow. They hook up every second Tuesday. They load a ship full of drugs from East L.A. it makes a round trip to San Juan for the weapons, then makes a B-line a series of ports Montreal".

"Cutting off the supply makes sense for now but it's not effective the long haul. Stopping the shipments would run his operation through the shit hole. It'll spook them a little and that's when mistakes happen. The main leverage we've got is the chip. It'll slow things down and buy us some time", he added, with conviction and focus in his tone.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm down for East L.A", Sebastian laughs, getting a little too excited about this road trip... or plane trip.

"I can get my tan on", Karen replies

"I hate the sun" I pouted.

"Austin and Ivana will work on the codes. Look into the biogenetic research as well. See if you can recover anything she's lost. Dexter and Aries, we need to find out what makes these weapons tick, look for any design flaws. Start pulling current Intel, hack into client data bases, but discretely. Last thing we need are P.I's and lawyers to camping out front", he orders. "Look alive assholes...."

..................................

To my surprise, I was successfully holding my shit together. I had to, given the current circumstances. How I knew it was successful? Christian, Karen, Sebastian and I were on our way to East L.A, by plane. And if that plane hasn't crashed in the middle of the Nevada desert, it's a safe bet to assume we've both checked our egos at the door, at least for this trip.
