Older/alpha: Taehyung
Plot: Taehyung asks his new secretary from work to be his plus one to a large company gala (Moonlight gala) because his parents will attend and they always nag Taehyung about not having a mate

Author's POV

Kim Taehyung, alpha of the Lunar pack and head of KTH enterprise is currently sat at his desk in his office, dreading the company gala he's about to attend tonight. He knows that he should've found his mate by now but unfortunately no, he hasn't and he knows that his parents will literally bug him all night about it.

"Mr.Kim?" a sweet and gentle voice was heard after a knock on the door.

"What is it?"

"Sorry for bothering but I'm here to remind you that you have the Moonlight gala tonight." Jungkook said and after seeing Taehyung nod, he was about to turn around and leave but was stopped by the alpha.

"Jungkook."

"Yes?"

"Come in and shut the door," Jungkook was kind of freaking out, Tae's stern voice and asking him to shut the door could mean two things. 1.he fucked up. 2. he fucked up bad.

"D-did I do something wrong sir?" Koo asked, biting his lip out of pure nervousness as he stood in front of the older male.

"No." he replied, Tae looked up at his assistant then hesitantly asked, "I need you to be my plus one tonight. To the Moonlight gala, and you can't act like my assistant, you have to pretend to be my mate."

This plan was perfect, his family doesn't know Jungkook since he's only been with him for 6 months, and he's a beta (Taehyung thinks so at least) so if all goes well, things will go perfectly. (But you guys know damn well that things won't go perfectly)

"M-me?"

"Is there someone else in this room with the name Jungkook?" Tae looks up at the male, lifting up an eyebrow

"N-no sir- I mean yes sir! I-I'll be your mate- I-I mean I'll be your plus one!" The omega stammered, before bowing, internally cussing himself out for stuttering and being a dumbass.

The older slightly chuckled at the younger's behavior, mumbling something under his breath before handing over his signed paperwork.

"Cute"

"Take this to the HR department please, and afterwards go grab your stuff and come back so that we can leave," Jungkook nodded in response.

"Would you like me to drive Mr.Kim?"

"Remember, you're not my assistant tonight, you're my mate," Tae said hesitantly, unaware if Jungkook was going to take him literally but oh well, he said it out loud before he could think twice.

"Okay sir! I'll be right back," the younger hurriedly left the office and went into the elevator to head to HR.

"Goddamn it," he cursed in the elevator, face completely flushed red as Taehyung's words lingered in his head. He quickly handed off the documents before taking the elevator back down to his desk, grabbing the potential things he needs for tonight. "Omg I need to bring my scent pills, if he finds out I'm him mate he's not going to let me work here anymore,"

Taehyung has always thought that Jungkook was a beta because Tae has never been able to smell the younger's scent, and that's usually what differs betas from omegas and alphas. The alpha also specifically requested his assistant to be betas because he's had omegas as assistants in the past and they would often end up latching onto him or other alphas because of alpha's protective nature or they wouldn't be able to control their scent causing other alphas on the same floor to lose focus.
