Chicago Med

Jay, Morgan and Reid walked down the halls of Med heading toward's Zoey's room walking in to find the bed gone along with the brunette. "Hey, where's Zoey Severide?" Morgan asked walking over to the nurse's station, "She went up to surgery, an hour ago" the nurse replied causing the agents to look at each other even more confused. "Did she mention surgery?" Morgan asked looking at the detective who just shook his head before walking down the hall towards his younger brother. "She's okay," the ginger said as Jay walked over along with Morgan and Reid as Severide was wheeled past them in a bed still sedated and sleeping.

"What happened?" Morgan asked the doctor, "We had to repair a lot of damage to her cervix and uterus fix tears and remove a few clots from previous tearing that didn't heal properly, we ended up performing a hysterectomy" Dr. Halstead said to them. Morgan and Jay looked confused as Reid looked horrified by the news, "Will, what does that mean?" Jay asked irritatedly, "It means she was assaulted violently and many times that they had to remove her uterus," Reid said staring at one of his best friends who was laying unconscious in the hospital bed. She'd been through Hell and they still didn't know half of the things she endured on this assignment.

They didn't wanna have to rely on the agent to solve the case wanting her to heal and get better but truth be told they had nothing. These guys were basically ghosts and it was starting to irritate everyone because the more they looked into the assignment the more they realized they had no leads and nothing other than what was in Severid'es log books which were somewhat useless now that the sex trafficking ring moved from New Jersey to Chicago.

Morgan, Reid, Jay walked into the room where Zoey was laying unconscious. "When will she wake up?" the detective asked his brother. "The anesthesia should wear off soon she should be awake within the hour," Will said looking at his patient he'd been treating for almost 2 and a half years now. She'd been through so much and the doctor wondered many times how she managed to survive half the injuries that brought her into the ED. "Thanks, Dr. Halstead," Reid said to him as the ginger left the room.

As the doctor expected it didn't take long for Severide to wake up to the sound of talking and the familiar beeping of monitors. The brunettes eye's fluttered open and she groaned a bit in discomfort as she moved. "Take it easy superwoman, you just got outta surgery," Morgan said noticing she was awake. "How are you feeling?" Jay asked concerned, "Achy and sore," she replied uncomfortably from the pain going through her lower abdomen. "I'll go get Will, I'll be right back Babe," the detective said kissing her forehead before walking out of the room. "So how are things with you and loverboy?" Morgan asks looking at the brunette.

"We started to sort things out after my dad died, and then I disappeared for almost a year," Severide replied unsure of what was going on between her and the detective but she never wanted to lose him like that ever again. Severide went to ask her two friends something when Jay and Will walked into the room. "How are you feeling 007?" Will asked causing the agent to laugh a bit. "Achey and bit sore, not gonna lie," she said causing him to walk over and adjust the pain medication.

"That should help a bit, other than that how are you feeling?" Will asked, "I'll be better once you get me all patched and sent on my way, I hate hospitals no offence," she said causing the ginger to laugh. "None taken, I'll do my best to get you outta here by the end of the week. I swear you sound like Jay," the doctor said with a smirk. "It takes a special kind to deal with people with bones sticking out of their bodies or cutting people open to operate," Severide cringed at the thought. "Say the woman that hunts serial killers and Wackos on a daily," Will replied with a smile causing her to laugh. "Touche" she replied as he walked out of the room.

"So how's the case going?" she asked them getting serious, "We can't find a thing, they don't have any registered vehicles or properties here in Chicago, They're basically ghosts," Morgan said. Severide looked at them, "Have you looked in large abandoned warehouses or factories that have tunnels out or docking bays attached?" the agent asked them. "That's where the last operation was set up, Looked almost like a legit business and bar minus all the open sex anyways they'd need contractors for that kind of work, as for vehicles they use delivery trucks from a company called Posiden's catch look into delivery to New Jersy and cross-reference the truck through POD footage," Severide told them.

"Your the best superwoman," Morgan said pulling out his phone before he left the room. "Want some coffee?" Jay asked her, "Can you grab me an energy drink? please" she asked the detective who smirked. "Of course beautiful," he said leaning down and kissing her lips softly before he walked out of the room leaving her to talk to Reid.

The two grew really close after her dad died which was why she left the word puzzles for him. She knew he'd be the one to figure them out and decipher what the words meant. "I'm sorry I didn't find you sooner," Reid said his words cutting her deep. "Hey Spence it's not you're fault, what's important is you found me. I'm okay and you guys are gonna nail these sons of bitches okay?" she told him as Morgan walked in the room followed by Jay. "Reid, we got a possible location," Morgan said walking into the room. "You guys go, I'm gonna stay with Severide," Reid told him. "You sure?" Jay asked him. "Yeah, go get them," Reid said as Morgan and Jay practically ran out of the room.

Severide watched the detective disappear down the hall, "You two belong together, you know" Reid said watching her reaction to the detective she'd been with on and off for almost 3 years. The brunette looked at her colleague, "Is it really that obvious?" she asked him. "The way you two look at each other anytime you see each other, and he makes you really happy," Reid pointed out. "I've never met anyone like him, Spence," she told him, "He understands the things we see, he doesn't get mad at the hours, doesn't push me to talk about the rough cases and he understands the nightmares that come with the things we see and do, He makes it all just easier," Severide said smiling as she talked about the detective. "Sounds like you're in love with him," Reid said with a smile on his face. "Who am I kidding, I know he's the one Spence. I've known for a while just life's been kicking me in the ass lately," She replied honestly. She could see herself getting married to the detective, living on a lake in a cabin growing old together.
