Jay's Apartment, Chicago

Severide and Jay lay in bed the entire day they got back from Hawaii just enjoying the time they had with each other. "Are you sure you're ready to go back?" the detective asked referring to her heading back to work. The blonde turned to face her husband who had a concerned look on his face. "It's been almost 2 months, I gotta go back sooner or later," she replied. "I'm gonna miss seeing that beautiful smile every morning," Jay said causing her to smile as her phone rang on the side table next to her side of the bed.

"SSA Severide...I mean SSA Halstead," she said correcting herself and mentally slapping herself for the error while answering the call, "I see you're still adjusting to the married life," JJ said through the line with a light laugh. "Haha yeah, gotta get used to the fact I changed my last name, what's up though?" she said sitting up in bed. "Hotch said you were flying in later today?" she said more than asked. "Yea, my flight leaves in... 2 hours," the agent said looking at the clock on Jay's side of the bed. "Well we got a case, I'll brief everyone when you get here. I'll see you soon" JJ said before the line hung up.

Zoey stood up going to get dressed, "SSA Halstead, I like the sound of that," Jay said from the bed with a huge smirk across his face as he pushed himself out of the bed walking over to the woman he could finally call his wife. "I'm glad because you're kinda stuck with me now," the blonde said with a matching smirk. "I'm not stuck with you babe, I'm happy to be here," the detective said taking her hands in his. "Good answer, but I have been summoned by the bat beacon," Zoey said as her smile faltered a little.

The agent walked over to the safe on the floor in the corner of the room putting the code in before the metal door unlocked. She pulled out her gun, badge and credentials out of the safe before locking it back up and placing her weapon in the holster on her right hip. Jay got up and started getting dressed after his wife mentioned she'd been called back to work. "Are you sure you're ready?" Jay asked with worry clear on his face.

Zoey walked over and pressed her lips to his softly, "I'm gonna be alright, I'll call you when I get to the airport and every day until I come home, okay?" she said more than asked trying to reassure her husband that she would be okay. "I know, just your getting a lot better and your eating and sleeping again; I just don't wanna see you fall backwards again. Especially if I'm not there to make your good," he said. "I'm not gonna go backwards Jay not to mention Hotch still has me on this probation period and I still have to go to therapy when I'm not working active cases," she points out to him.

Zoey picked up her go back placing it over her shoulder before she walked out to the living room with Jay hot on her heels. "How are your meetings with Dr. Charles going anyways?" the detective asked her as they put their shoes on, the question caused the blonde to shrug. "Like a therapy session," she shrugged unsure of what to tell him as they walked out of his apartment and down the stairs after Jay locked the door.

O'Hare International Airport, Chicago

Zoey and Jay walked across the street and climbed into the detective's grey pickup truck. The married couple drove off towards O'Hare hand in hand. The drive was quiet as the soft sound of 'Paradise' by Coldplay sounded softly through the radio. Zoey turned the volume up a little and began singing the words softly causing her husband to glance at her with a smile across his face. "I didn't know you liked Coldplay," the detective said looking back at the road with the smirk still on his face. "There's still a lot about me you don't know," Zoey said as the truck pulled up in the pick-up and drop-off lane of the large airport. "Well I look forward to finding out everything," Jay said looking at his wife. "I love you," she said softly leaning in to kiss him, "I love you too, be safe go kick some ass babe," her husband said before placing another small kiss on her lips and looking into her mesmerizing blue eyes.

Zoey smiled at her husband before hopping out of the truck and disappearing through the sliding doors of the large airport. The blonde agent walked through the large building heading towards her gate when her phone rang. "SSA Ser-SSA Halstead," she corrected herself quickly shaking her head again at the simple error she kept making. "Hey Halstead, are you able to meet us on the tarmac?" Hotch asked through the line. "Yea, I'm just about to board my flight to Virginia. I should be there within the next hour and a half," she replied through the line. "Alright," was all Hotch said before he hung up the line.

BAU Privet Jet,

The flight to Virginia didn't take long it typically never did, Zoey departed the flight before walking through the airport and heading straight to the tarmac where the Bau's privet Jet sat waiting with the door open. The blonde agent walked over climbing up the steps and into the jet where Morgan and Reid were already sitting and waiting for the rest of the team. "There she is, how's the married life going superwoman?" Morgan asked noticing his partner appear on the jet. "Still keep addressing myself as SSA Severide instead of SSA Halstead which is kinda annoying," the blonde replied setting her bag down and going to make a cup of coffee. "That's not unusual, took me a while to adjust to taking Will's last name," JJ said arriving on the Jet with a stack of files in her hand.

Zoey poured herself a mug of coffee before going and taking a seat next to Reid and across from Morgan. "No energy drink?" Reid asked her confused, "Yeah, what's up with that superwoman? You practically live on those things," Morgan stated. "I've been cutting back on caffeine," the agent said honestly. "Those things were gonna give you a heart attack by 30, with how many you were having," Reid said as Prentiss, Rossi and Hotch boarded the jet.

JJ wasted no time in catching Zoey up on the case where a bunch of children ranging from 6-15 were missing without a trace, little did the agent know how twisted this case was gonna be. The jet took off towards Florida of all places, and Zoey sent a message to her husband.

'Hey, just got back to Virginia, I love you and I'll call you later tonight' -Zoey
