THE FOLLOWING NIGHT the group of fives detention was taking place in the forbidden forest, but on the plus side, it was with Hagrid so that put Hope's mind at ease. She didn't understand why the punishment for being out after curfew, was being out after curfew and let alone in a 'forbidden forest' but there Hope was walking down with her friends, Filch and Draco to serve detention.
"A pity they let the old punishments die" Filch said Holding the lantern as they walked down to Hagrids "There was a time detention would find you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons... God, I miss the screaming" This made Hope look over at Harry and share an uneasy look at the man monologuing.
"You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight. He's got a little job to do inside the dark forest" Filch said as they approached Hagrids hut. Hagrid came out with a crossbow crying slightly clearly still not over the loss of his pet dragon.
"A sorry lot this, Hagrid" Filch said to him before noticing how upset the half-giant was, "good god man, you're not still on about that bloody dragon, are you?" he asked him.
"Norbert's gone, Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony" Hagrid said Holding his crossbow,
"Well that's good, isn't it? He'll be with his own kind" a slightly confused Hermione said to him.
Hope nodded in agreement "exactly, I'm sure Charlie will look after him Hagrid" she said trying to sympathise with the man.
"but what if he don't like Romania?" Hagrid said with a sniff, "What if the other dragons are mean to him? He's only a baby, after all" he cried.
Filch who had enough of Hagrid's moping said "for God's sake, pull yourself together man, You're going into the forest after all. Got to have your wits about you" he said darkly making all five children stare up at him.
"The forest?" Draco questioned with a tone of fear "I thought that was a joke, We can't go in there. Students aren't allowed, And there are-" The sound of a wolf howling interrupted him, "werewolves!"
Hope rolled her eyes. She wasn't scared of werewolves, how could she be after being raised and living with one for eleven years? and unless Fenrir Greyback was in the woods at Hogwarts she had nothing to worry about.
"There's more than werewolves in those trees, lad. You can be sure of that" making Draco's face drop "Nighty night" he said as he strolled off back to the castle. Hagrid looked at the group with a small comforting smile,
"right, let's go" and so they went following Hagrid into the forbidden forest.

The small group was walking through the woods when Hagrid sped up to investigate something he saw on the forest floor. He dips his fingers in a silvery substance on the ground, "Hagrid, what is that?" Harry asked after seeing the substance before Hagrid could answer Hope jumped in
"unicorn blood" she said before looking up at Hagrid "is it not?" Hagrid smiled down at her
"Right you are Hope, found one dead a few weeks ago, Now, this one's been injured bad by something, So it's our job to find the poor beast" He explained to them.
