THE THREE HAD RECEIVED a very long lecture from Hermione when they returned to the Gryffindor tower that night, until the rest of the Gryffindor students came downstairs to congratulate them for not getting expelled for doing something so stupid.
"Brilliant!" Lee Jordan shouted at them "people will be talking about that for years" he clapped Ron on the shoulder grinning, Fred and George pushed themselves to the front
"why couldn't you have called us back?" both of the twins speaking in sync, Ron went red in the face out of sheer embarrassment, Hermione scoffed and stormed upstairs clearly not agreeing with the praise,
Hope saw the angry face of Percy Weasley through the crowd of people she elbowed both Harry and Ron and nodded in his direction of him. both boys got the point.
Hope faked a rather dramatic yawn "I'm exhausted after all that" she let out a fake laugh "night everyone!" she shouted as she ran up the spiral stairs to escape a lecture from Percy.
She practically sprinted into the dorms slamming the door shut behind her, receiving strange looks from Lavander and Parvati who were in the middle of a conversation, Hermione rolled her eyes turned her back and continued to unpack some of her stuff,
"how was your summer Lavander? Parvati?" Hope asked walking over to her bed with the sleeping cat on it scratching his head as she lay down.
Both girls started to talk about their summer overlapping each other, But Hope couldn't help but look over at Hermione who still looked mildly annoyed,
She excused herself from Lavander and Parvati and went to sit on Hermione's bed which was right next to hers,
"mione" Hope said softly scared she would be shouted at again,
Hermione dropped what she was doing "you could have died. it was stupid" she said "you should've waited for your parents to get back" Hope couldn't help but nod in agreement, of course, what they did was stupid but at the moment it seemed like the best option.
"I agree Hermione" Hope said "but please don't be mad, we didn't die and we got here isn't that the main thing?" she asked tilting her head to the side with a smile
"I suppose" she mumbled, Hope jumped up
"Great!" Pulling her friend into a hug leaving her no time to react before Hope ran off into the bathroom to get ready for bed. Hermione stood there with a smile on her face shaking her head fondly at her friend.

The next day the group had Herbology so after breakfast they made their way to the greenhouses outside. Hope was talking to Hermione as she was explaining one of the plants they saw coming into the greenhouse,
"Morning everyone!" Professor sprout shouts coming into the greenhouse the class all murmur a good morning back no one seeming too enthusiastic (apart from Neville) to be learning about plants, "Welcome to Greenhouse Three, Second Years gather round!" everyone shifted closer to the table,
"Today, we will be re-potting Mandrakes Now, who here can tell me the properties of the Mandrake?" Professor Sprout asked and Hermione's hand shot up
