HOPE LUPIN-BLACK liked to believe she was a fairly organised person but that didn't stop her from checking she had every book, and every piece of clothing she might need for her year away at Hogwarts.
Remus lupin came up to check on his daughter he leaned against her door frame and watched her as she checked her trunk for the millionth time
"Hope love, come eat some breakfast before we have to go" Remus said with a smile
Hope turned to look at her father with a shocked expression
"Eat breakfast?" she questioned with a scoff
"Dad how can I possibly eat right now I need to make sure I have everything and even if I do have everything I couldn't possibly eat I'm too nervous w-what if I eat and then throw up over one of the professors that would be a horrible first impression"
Remus chuckled at his daughters rambling and sat down on the end of her bed
"Hope, you won't throw up I promise you, you'll be just fine" he reassured his daughter
"How can you be so sure?" she sighed sitting next to her dad on her bed and resting her head on his upper arm
"Because you are an extraordinary young girl Hope besides I'm your father so I just know" she hummed in agreement,
"Fred and George said there's a test to get sorted into our houses what if I have to fight a troll" she whispered,
Remus laughed "I can assure you Hope there won't be any troll fighting this year, now come eat we have to leave soon"

After checking once more that she had everything, Hope and Remus made their way to the platform
"look how sad Roger looks dad it's depressing" she said looking at the cat who looked rather annoyed to be stuffed in a cage.
Roger was Hopes cat Remus got her for starting Hogwarts she decided to name him Roger after her favourite member of Queen, Roger Taylor, oddly enough his fur matched the colour of Roger Taylor's hair and they had matching blue eyes.
"You can let him out when you get to Hogwarts just make sure he doesn't torment and eat Ron's rat" Roger's ears perked up at the mention of the word rat
"if anything that rat torments Roger" Hope scoffed.
"Look" Remus pointed at the wall
"There's the platform, all you have to do is just run straight through" Remus explained resting his hand on Hope's shoulder,
"you'll do it with me right?" Hope asked looking up at him,
Remus smiled down at his daughter "of course, come on" and so they ran at the wall.
Coming through the other end of the wall was a surreal experience seeing the bright red Hogwarts express at first glance was everything Hope thought it would be.
"it's amazing" Hope spoke in a slight whisper and her eyes twinkled
"it truly is" Remus said reminiscing on the first time he saw the train
"Come on I can see the Weasleys" Remus said directing Hope to them.
"Oh Hope, Remus there you are" Hope instantly recognised the voice of Molly Weasley
"Hello Molly" Remus and Hope both said.
Ron's head instantly turned around to the sound of his friend's voice a grin appearing on his face before tackling her into a hug,
Two tall figures came up behind Hope and one of them ruffled her hair,
"Fred Weasley" she gasped in mock offence, while trying to fix her hair, she turned to George
"And George of course, how are my favourite twins?" she asked with a grin
"We're your favourite twins blimey George did you hear that" Fred spoke with a hand on his heart and the other dramatically fanning his face
"Sure did Freddie, you can't take that back ever Hope Lupin-Black," George said while pointing a finger at her
"I wouldn't dream of it" Hope said placing a hand over her heart.
"But then again you are the only twins I know so there isn't much competition," Hope said with a grin.
A train whistle interrupted their conversation and a frantic Molly started ushering all her children on the train while Hope made sure to put her trunk with the rest and say a quick goodbye to Roger before putting him with the rest of the pets then turning to her sad looking father.
"I'm going to miss you while you're gone" Remus said with a sad smile,
"I'll be back at Christmas" She whispered hugging her father tightly
"Are you going to be okay? with the full moons?" Hope questioned lowering her voice
"I'll be fine, nothing to worry about" Remus said placing a kiss on the top of her head,
Another train whistled and pulled them from their conversation
"you best get on, look Ron's waiting for you" he pointed up to Ron who was waiting and talking to Molly
"Promise I'll write" she kissed her father's cheek and hugged him again
"I'll be waiting for your letter" Remus said with a grin, Hope laughed
Hope got on the train with Ron, both of them sending one last wave to their parents
"Should we find a compartment?" Ron asked,
Hope nodded and the train started to move, headed straight for Hogwarts.
