Family Reunion

SIRIUS BLACK STOOD BEFORE THEM. His skin pale and his eyes sunken and dull, he certainly didn't look anything like the pictures Remus had hiding away in a box at his and Hope's house back in wales that was most likely heavier with dust than actual pictures as it was hardly touched. 

Azkaban clearly had not been kind to the man. He looked as if he had lost every ounce of brightness he once had. 

Hope couldn't help but feel slightly guilty with her thoughts as she looked at him. Harry immediately came to her mind, perhaps now Sirius could explain everything that happened that night clearing his name for good. 

Perhaps now she, Sirius and Remus could be a proper family and make up for all the time they lost and of course, they would take Harry from the Dursleys to live with them too so they could all live together and Harry could finally have the life he deserved and so could Sirius. 

Hope couldn't help but feel slightly amazed when she first learned of her father's escape—as selfish as it sounds. Even after all this time, Sirius had managed to have enough of his humanity and strength left to escape Azkaban. she had a feeling that he didn't escape to kill Harry, a part of her believed it.

The selfish part of her was excited that maybe Sirius's first stop would be to see Remus and her and explain everything, perhaps he had escaped with the intent to just be with them she never really cared if that made her selfish or a bad person for thinking that when he was supposed to be a criminal,

And in a way, his first stop was to see Hope even if he was a dog. 

However, clearly Harry never had the same idea. It all happened so fast one minute Sirius was approaching them with a small barely noticeable smile then the next minute Harry had pushed him to the ground with all his strength pointing his wand directly at Sirius's throat, 

Hope sprung into action ignoring the shouts from Hermione and Ron, she grabbed Harry by his upper arm trying to pull him off but Harry wouldn't let go of Sirius. 

"Harry stop! Let him explain" Hope cried tugging on his arm

"Are you going to kill me Harry?" Sirius asked with a small laugh, not at all helping the situation

Remus came bursting into the room pointing his wand at Harry's hand, 

"Expelliarmus!" Remus shouted and Harry's wand went flying to the side

Remus never lowered his wand but kept it pointed at Sirius he tilted his head to the side and Hope dragged Harry up from the ground pulling him to Hermione and Ron.

"Well, well Sirius. looking rather ragged aren't we? finally the flesh reflects the madness within" Remus teased with a smirk keeping his wand pointed at Sirius

Sirius who had his hands held up in surrender let a smile form on his face

"You'd know all about the madness within wouldn't you Remus?" Sirius replied 

Remus lowered his wand and pulled Sirius up embracing him in a tight hug that was clearly long overdue. Hope's eyes filled with tears but they weren't sad. she had a smile on her face watching as her father's finally got to be in each other's presence after all those years of longing.
