AFTER GETTING A SUFFICIENT, ONE HOUR OF SLEEP. Hope and the boys decided to visit Hermione in the hospital wing. The lack of Hermione's presence seriously affected the group. Her knowledge was missed and Hope seriously missed having another girl in the group because having to deal with the two boys alone wasn't her idea of a good time.
Hope woke up as the sun was rising, she got ready and made her way down to Hagrid's Garden to pick some flowers to replace the ones beside Hermione's bed - because the ones she originally placed were probably dead by now.
Hope organised the flowers in the vase, as Harry and Ron sat on either side of Hermione's bed,
"wish you were here Hermione, we need you now more than ever" Harry whispered looking at Hermione's petrified body,
Harry, who was holding Hermione's hand Pulled out a crumpled-up piece of paper that she was grasping when she got petrified,
"what's that?" Ron asked
leaning on the bedside table, Hope pulled herself off to go stand behind Harry and look over his shoulder, seeing the Page that gave the information on the Basilisk she let out a gasp,
"That's why Hermione went to the library the day she was attacked" Hope said frowning sadly,
"Come on!" Harry said practically sprinting out of the hospital wing, Hope and Ron shared a look before chasing after him.
"Of the many fearsome beasts that roam our land, none is more deadly than the Basilisk. Capable of living for hundreds of years, instant death awaits any who meet this giant serpent's eye Spidersflee before it-"
Harry read the ripped-out page to them as they walked through the hallway
"This is it, the monster in the chamber of secrets is a Basilisk, that's why I can hear it speak it's a snake" Harry explained, However Ron looked confused
"But if it kills by looking people in the eye, How is it no one's dead?" He asked
Hope Frowned thinking back to everyone that had been petrified,
"Merlin, Ron you genius" She gasped Causing heads to snap to her
"No one looked at it, Colin saw it through his camera" Hope explained walking through the corridors the boys quick on her heels,
"Justin saw it through, nearly headless Nick and Nick can't die again he's already dead"
"And the mirror beside Hermione's bed?" Hope questioned the two boys who nodded at her letting her know that they remembered it,
"she saw the basilisk through that" Hope finished explaining, stopping in the corridor and giving Harry and Ron time to catch up,
"What about Mrs Norris? doubt she had a mirror or a camera" Ron asked out of breath from chasing after a very fast walking Hope,
"The water" Both Hope and Harry said at the same time, Hope ginned at Harry,
"She saw the reflection in the water where she was found" Hope said to Ron seeing as he still looked confused,
