HOPE WAS EXTREMELY BORED. Sitting around to rescue Sirius wasn't the most riveting of events, it also didn't help that they had a hippogriff to entertain and keep quiet which wasn't the easiest of tasks. Hope sat slumped against a tree throwing a stick in Buckbeaks direction, she let out a laugh when she saw him toss it about in between his front paws.
"Least you two are having fun" Hermione said giving Harry a nudge and pointing with her head in Hope's direction
Hope gave him a small smile when Buckbeak came back dropping the stick into her lap
"He's like a big cat" Hope said petting Buckbeaks nose before throwing the stick again
Harry gave a sigh leaning back against the tree which made Hope and Hermione look at him
"Down by the lake, when I was with Hope and Sirius" This peaked Hope's interest in what Harry was about to say so she gave Harry her full attention
"I did see someone. That someone made the dementors go away" Harry explained
"With a patronus" Hermione stated
"I heard Snape telling Dumbledore, according to him only a very powerful wizard could've conjured it" She explained to Harry,
Hope looked at Harry curiously. She never stuck around to see if Harry actually learned the Patrounus charm from Remus—seeing as they weren't talking when Harry was learning it. But Perhaps Harry did learn it that day, He never told any of them if he did or not but Hope definitely believed he was capable of it.
"I saw the patronus" Hope said to Harry
"Then it all went black. But miones' right only a really powerful wizard could've conjured it, only someone who was taught it" Hope said trying to insinuate to Harry what she was thinking,
"It was my dad. It was my dad who conjured the patronus" Harry stated with a smile
Hope's face fell, Harry very clearly didn't get her point.
Hermione shared a sad look with Hope,
"But Harry your dad's-"
"Dead I know." Harry snapped interrupting Hermione who frowned
"I'm just telling you what I saw" Harry whispered,
Hope felt horrible for him, she had to admit if she was in Harry's position she would hold out Hope too and technically she did—just not to the same extent—when Sirius was imprisoned she believed he was innocent she truly believed it. so she understood Harry and his delusion.
"Here we come " Hermione said looking off to the whomping willow
"You see Sirius talking to me there?" Harry said pointing to where Sirius and him were talking looking off to the castle,
Hope gave him a nod.
"He's asking me to come live with you—all of you. Him, Remus and you, Hope." Harry explained with a soft smile
"When we free him, I'll never have to go back to the Dursleys, he said we'll be a real family, just the four of us" Hope gave him a teary eyed smile
