"I don't know why you keep asking me questions when I've already told you I don't remember." Kuvira muttered. Suyin looked at her with concern, she just couldn't help but feel sorry for the intern. "Ok, one last question, do you want to press charges?" Kuvira sighed. "No, we're friends. I just need to talk to her." Mako closed his notepad. "Ok well, if you remember anything and change your mind just give us a call." Kuvira waved her hand at him. "Ya, sure thing, I'll let you know." Suyin followed him out to the hallway. "Why do you need her to remember? You have 2 witnesses and the woman that punched her telling you she did it." He shoved his notepad and pen into his shirt pocket. "Look, I just need some kind of statement from her. It probably won't be a big deal if she doesn't want to press charges and can't remember right away. It will be completely up to Cheif Beifong." Suyin crossed her arms raising an eyebrow. "I see, well thank you for letting me be present for the questioning." She turned and went back to Kuvira's room. "Hey, you doing ok?" Kuvira looked up with a half smile. "I'm fine, just irritated that I can't remember some stuff. Will you tell me exactly what happened?" Su sat down next to the bed. "Um, yes I suppose I can." She paused taking a deep breath. "As you know Korra punched you, hard enough to knock you unconscious, because she thought you were...well, bothering Asami." Kuvira's eyes widened in surprise. "Asami? I don't understand, bothering her? Korra is my friend." Suyin narrowed her eyes. "Kuvira, do you mind if I ask what you do remember about your life and who you are?" The intern sat up a little. "Sure, I guess." She thought for a minute, tapping her fingers on her leg. "I live in Republic City with my boyfriend...." She looked at Su curiously, new bits and pieces of memories filtering into her mind. "....your son, Bataar. Does he know I'm here?" She looked at the clock on the wall. "It's late he'll be leaving for work soon...." Suyin put her hand on Kuvira's. "We'll talk about that after, what else do you remember?" She curled her fingers around Su's hand. "I go to RCU and I'm an intern at Future Industries....with Korra and..." she paused searching her brain. "....Opal?" That's it more or less, those are the major big things." She looked up at Suyin. "Right? What am I missing?" Su moved to the bed sitting next to Kuvira. She gently wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Quite a bit. But I think you should just relax for now. Get some rest." Kuvira laid her head against Suyin. "Ok. Thanks for being here Su. It means a lot to me."
Korra sat on a bench against the wall in the police station, both legs bouncing wildly. She watched Lin carefully through her office window. She was speaking with the officers that had been at the hospital with them. They were all focused intently on what she was saying. Korra looked to her right as a small blond woman with glasses approached. Asami trailing behind her. Korra sprung to her feet. "Asami, I'm so glad you're finally here." Asami motioned to the blond woman. "Korra this is Iris Vandenberg, she's my attorney." Iris extended her hand. "Hi, nice to meet you." Korra grabbed it firmly and shook. "Thanks for coming out so late." Iris smiled. "No problem at all, Asami is a good friend. I'm glad to help." Lin opened her office door to let Mako and the other officers out. "Hey kid, why don't you three join me in here." Asami took a deep breath and led the way. Lin went behind her desk and sat down. "Please, have a seat." She instructed. Korra looked up nervously. "I haven't had a chance to speak with my lawyer yet." Lin glanced at Iris. "It won't be necessary. Not for now at least. I'm not going to arrest you. Kuvira has no interest in pressing charges at this time. It's your first offense and I know it's somewhat out of character for you. BUT, it will be a different story if she does decide to press charges. Here in Republic City she has 2 years before the statute of limitations runs out. Also, I will only do this for you if you agree to attend anger management classes. An 8 week program with Kya and one of her associates. They'll meet every Wednesday at 7pm in the RCFS building right across the street." Korra nodded her head vigorously. "Absolutely. No problem at all." Lin held up her hand. "I'm not finished. You're also going to meet me here every Saturday at 1pm to help instruct the kids in the police explorer program. You have a lot of martial arts knowledge and we need a self defense instuctor." Korra looked to Asami as if she needed permission. "Ya, I can do that." Lin pushed off her desk and stood up. "Good, that will be indefinite. Til I say you're done." Korra's shoulders fell as she relaxed. "Thank you so much Lin, I'm really sorry for all of this." Lin scoffed. "Just stay out of trouble, you're to old for this shit."
