Tiffany gets me home and helps me set up my room after we clean up the rest of the house. It's the normal drill after every sleep over we have, no matter who hosts. My mom still hasn't come home yet, meaning that she is either working another shift or she's finishing up her current one.

I put a dozen chocolate chip cookies in the oven before turning on the stove for popcorn. I put chips in a bowl and put two bottles of pop in the refrigerator for later. Tiffany and I also lit a few candles to make it more aesthetically pleasing for a horror movie night.

By the time that we're done, Tiffany has to rush home like the she said. I take the cookie's out of the oven before starting on a simple yet appealing dinner of takeout pizza. I call up my favorite place and order two large pizza's, one cheese and the other pepperoni.

I know what you're thinking, two large pizzas for just two people? Well...I love my pizza and I know Billy used to as well. Right as I'm finishing up on the VCR set up, I hear the doorbell sound through the house. I stand, gulping as I wipe my palms on my pants.

I look in the mirror above the couch, fixing my hair before I make my way towards the door. Opening it up, I see Billy standing there with pizzas and a smile on his face. I look at him confused as I look behind him, not seeing the delivery driver anywhere.

"How..."

"I met him at the road. I went ahead and paid for it, so don't worry about that..."

"Oh...you didn't have too..."

He scoffs as he steps past me, walk in and looking around. He has a small smile on his face as he studies the walls of photos and paintings. My mom is an artist in her limited free time.

"This place hasn't changed..."

"Well..it has. Just not on the surface.."

I take the pizzas, heading for the kitchen as he follows me. I grab a few plates and cups, looking up at the fridge as Billy stands in the door way.

"Would you get the pop out of there? I have more snacks in the living room, as well..."

"Okay...popcorn included? You can't watch a movie without popcorn..."

"You remember?"

I smile at him, remembering the silly rule we came up with as kids. He smiles at me, rubbing the back of his neck as he nods.

"Of course I do...Chris...those were the good days.."

I giggle before looking down, fiddling with the plates. He watches me, a smirk on his face as he sees my blush. I clear my throat, grabbing the pizzas and taking them into the living room where everything else is. I turn and se Billy with everything else as he scans the room, taking in the sight of the candles.

"It's...intimate."

"I-I didn't mean for it to be..I just wanted to make it scarier...you know?"

"Yeah..."

He stares me down, looking into my very existence as I gulp. I laugh awkwardly as I step around the couch, preparing to put the movie in. Billy sits down, watching me as I grab the remote and sit down beside him. I grab a throw blanket and get comfortable as Billy does the same, resting his arm behind me.

"I also brought psycho and Halloween if you want to watch them afterwards..."

I feel him mumble into my ear as I nod, trying too catch my breath. The starting scene plays as we both grab food and eat while we watch.

"-na....Chris...tina...Christina?!"

I wake to my mother shaking me, a hard look on her face as she stares down at me. I jump up, throwing Billy's arm off me as I stand.

"Why is there a boy in the house, candles burning, and junk food everywhere?!"

"I'm sorry, Mami. I'll clean this up."

I start to gather up the leftovers and taking them to the kitchen as my mom huffs, grabbing a piece of pizza and takes a bite. I put everything away as I hear Billy waking up in the other room. I rush back in, acting as if I'm just continuing my duty as my mother stares Billy down.

"Mom? You remember Billy, right?"

"Billy? It is you! How are you? How's your dad?"

Her attitude changes as soon as she recognizes him, pulling him into a hug as he tries to hide his smile.

"Uh...the same as he's ever been..."

"I see..." her face falls as she looks at Billy, a maternal feeling overtaking any other. "If you ever need anything, don't be scared to ask..."

"Okay."

I smile as I grab the last of the food, taking it into the kitchen as my mother follows.

"Christina. Your cousin, Sophia, will be coming next week. She's staying for the summer..."

I almost drop the glass bowl in my hands as I look up in shock. Billy steps into the room as my mom grabs ingredients out of the fridge and pantry. She does this every other day, cooks ahead so we have it ready.

"Sophia's coming?"

"That's what I said."

I squeal as I jump up and down, excited by the news.

"She wants to spend one last summer with you before she has to go off to college...I want you to prepare the good guest room, the one with both a bathroom and big closet."

Also known as Gilly's old room...

I shove those feelings down as I smile, rushing towards the stairs with a jump in my step.

"Christina..."

"Yes, Mami?"

"Your guest..."

She gestures towards Billy as my eyes widen. I rush over and grab his hand as I drag him up the stairs. He follows with no problem as my mom continues cooking.

"Come on...I'll set up the other guest room for you tonight..."

"Why don't I just sleep in your room?"

"Are you kidding?!" I swing around, stopping on the stairs as I stare him down. "Do you eat my mom to kill you? Because she will."

He laughs as he shakes his head, allowing me to guide him up the stairs again. We get to my room, where I let him stay as I rush down the hall towards the closet with my dad's old sleep clothes. My mom only keeps them for emergencies...Or that's what she says anyways.

I walk back into my room, seeing Billy looking at my pictures. I feel my anger forming as I storm forward, grabbing the photos and Polaroids out of his hands before handing him the clothes.

"You can wear these..."

"Those are nice pictures...did you take them yourself?"

"I really don't want to talk about it....I think it's best if you go to bed..."

He studies me, looking deep into my soul as before looking down. He sighs as he rubs his neck, smiling at me before walking out the door.
