Halfway through the second movie of the night I feel sick. I rush towards the bathroom as memories flash of blood and screams. My stomach aches, my throat itching with the possibility of losing everything I ate today.

"...Run! Girls! Run!"

I slam the door, tears streaming down my face. I switch on the water, scrubbing my hands. They feel sticky and warm, like the red liquid is on it once more. I hear a soft knock on the bathroom door, followed by muffled voices. I ignore them, scrubbing my skin raw.

"...No! Stay back! Don't touch them!"

"Chris? You good in there?"

The doorknob jiggles as more tears fall. I quickly shut off the water before reaching for the towel hanging up. The knocking becomes loud bangs as the voices become louder. I wipe my tears, forcing the memories away before reaching for the doorknob.

"Sorry..."

I don't say anything else, just walking past with my head low. Both boys follow me as I make my way back into the back room. I sit down, seeing the movie paused on Jason slaughtering a teen. Blood coats the scene. Pure terror clear on the dying character's face.

"Christina. What was that about? We've watched this movie a million times and you've nev-"

"I don't want to talk about it, Billy."

"No. She just wants to act weird and all gloomy." Stu huffs, sitting back down on the couch. "That's what she did earlier today."

"I'm not actin-"

"Don't play that card, Sunshine. You barely even laughed at any of my jokes today."

"Maybe because you're not funny."

Billy snaps as he watches me. I would have normally laughed at the remark, but not with the bloody memories flashing in my mind. Stu thinks for a second before shaking his head out of the corner of my eye.

"No. I don't think that's it."

"How do you know?"

"Because I am funny. Just ask your mom."

"I could stab you right now and no one would give a shit, Stuart."

"Why don't you then, huh?"

"I just might you fuckin-"

"Okay! Enough!"

I yell, cutting the two bickering children off. They both glare at each other as I slump down into the couch. My fingers run through my hair as I stare at the ground.

"Today is the anniversary of my aunt's murder, okay..."

Both their heads snap to me as I continue to look at the ground. I take a deep breath as Billy moves closer. Stu leans forward, both boys keeping their eyes on me. I take a few deep breaths before opening my mouth once more.

"It happened nine years ago..I was just seven..my-uh-mom and dad were out on vacation for a couple weeks so we, my twin sister and I..we were staying a few towns over at my aunt's..."

"You don't have to, Sunshine..."

"No. You both want to know. I can see it." My head snaps up, my eyes looking between the two. "We were staying up late..watching movies when we heard a noise.."

"What do you both want to watch? Other than the scary movie."

"Fine...what abo-"

A loud thump cuts off Gillian, making all three of the blondes turn. Aunt Carrie stands up, pulling both of the small children up with her. Her hands shake as she silently pulls the girls with her down the hall. She puts her finger to her lips as she looks down at the girls. They both nod, gripping each other tight.
