"So let me get this straight..."

Tiffany and Sophia both lounge on either side of me in the backyard. All three of us have our bathing suits on, the sun beating down on us as music plays in the background. Tiff has on a blue bikini while Soph and I wear red.

"You slept in one guys bed just to turn around and have another guy sleep in your bed the next night....doesn't that make you feel weird?"

"Kind of...I don't know what to feel."

I sigh, sitting up straight. Tiffany looks over as she slips off her glasses. She sits up, swinging her legs over the edge to face me head on. Sophia doesn't move, too busy enjoying the summer sun.

"Well...do you like either of them?"

The question I've been dreading...

"Tiff...didn't you already ask that question before?"

"Yes, but I was mainly joking before. Now I'm being serious."

Before I can even think about what she said, the doorbell rings. I can hear it sound from inside, making me jump. I sigh as I stand up. Tiffany lays back on her lounge chair as I grab my cover and head inside.

I move through the house, tying the cover around my body in order to seem somewhat presentable. My blonde hair is pulled back into a hair clip, more than likely messy and unkempt. I clear my throat, ignoring the thoughts of not being presentable as I reach the front door.

"Stu? Hey..."

I smile, opening the door to see the tall boy. He smiles right back, his hands behind his back. He's dressed in a nice tank and shorts. I'm not surprised with the heat wave we're having.

"What can I do for you?"

"Oh, Sunshine...your smile is enough."

He walks inside, smirking towards me the whole way. I clear my throat, hiding my burning cheeks. I shut the door, watching him walk towards the kitchen.

"Sorry for barging in...I just wanted to drop this off."

He lays down a colorfully wrapped gift onto the island. I step closer, a surprised look no doubt covering my face. My hand reaches out to grab it off the white marble, glancing up at him. He smiles at me, his head nodding towards the blue and purple wrapping.

"What's this?"

"Well...I was going to give you this the other night, but then got distracted by the fiesta. Then you ran off yesterday morning before I could hand it over."

"Sorry about that, I had to get home before my mom did..."

"I figured." He shrugs, leaning against the counter. "You gonna open it?"

I smile, immediately pulling on the blue bow. The wrapping crinkles and rips apart under my surprisingly steady hands. I definitely was not expecting this today...

"No...."

"I figured with how much you talk about photography...you might actually have a camera. Or at least a better one."

"Stu...I can't take this."

I shake my head, pushing the box towards him. He immediately pushes it back, laughing under his breath. I sigh as I look up to meet his eyes.
