"Bobby!"I jump to give him a hug, smiling as he laughs. We pull apart, looking at each other in gleeful shock as I start to stammer out.
"W-what are you doing here? How have you been? I haven't seen you in..."
"Years? I know...it's good to soon you, squirt! I can't believe how much you've grown up..." he smiles down at me before his face goes a little serious. "How's my brother?"
"Billy? He's...okay I guess. Uhm...we don't talk or hang out as much as we used too."
"That sucks...sorry to here that. You were both really close growing up. What about your sister?"
"I couldn't tell you...I haven't seen her in years."
"Still?! That's bullshit."
"Chris! You okay?"
Sophia and Tiffany walk up, both with worried looks on their face as I finally take the jacket and slip it on. I smile, nodding as I look back towards the older brother I never had.
"Yeah! This is Bobby!" I gesture to him before dong the same with my cousin and best friend. "Bobby...this is Sophia and Tiffany. My older cousin and long time best friend."
They both look up, shock filling them as they stand awe struck. He smiles, offering them his hand as he nods in greeting. Tiffany shakes it first, still staring in shock as Sophia shakes his hand.
"It's nice to meet you both..."
"It's nice to meet you..."
Sophia and him shake hands longer than normal, causing me to raise an eyebrow towards them both. I clear my throat, smiling again as I explain everything.
"Bobby is Billy's older brother...he used to watch us all the time when we were kids. He's like the older brother I never had actually...."
"You're too kind." He smiles at me, dropping Sophia's hand before making eye contact again. "You're Sophia, right? The one from Texas?"
"Uhh...yeah?"
"I've heard a lot about you...yeah Chrissy used to always ramble about you."
"Oh...really?"
I share a look with Tiffany, both of us smirking as we back up a bit.
"Tiff and I are gonna go get a drink, you want anything?"
"Uhh...no. No I'm good."
I nod, smirking again as Tiffany and I walk towards the keg. We join our arms together, laughing to ourselves as we spot Bonnie playing beer pong.
"You want to go play?"
"Why not."
——
Hours later, we're all a little tipsy as we walk back to the beach house. Bonnie is rambling about something funny that happened as Tiffany and I watch the dreamy looking Sophia.
"And then she fell in the water!"
Bonnie bursts into laughter, stumbling a little as we get to the back porch. The only light is coming from the bright moon and the living room lamp inside. I open the door, laughing to myself as we all stumble in. I lock up the door, swaying as Bonnie laughs behind us.
"Is there any food left?"
"Yeah....in the bowl on the middle shelf. Don't eat all of it!"
I say to Tiffany as she walks into the kitchen. Sophia sighs, smiling towards me as I move towards the stairs. Bonnie follows her sister into the kitchen as Sophie and I start up the stairs.
