The Stuart family was at Alice Chadwick's house.
Meg was helping Alice pick cherries off a tree.
"Mother? Are the cherries for your tea party this afternoon?" said Meg.
"Oh, yes, Meg. They're for my scones" said Alice.
"Is Bruce Wayne gonna come? And Cathy? And Patty too?" said Meg.
"Yes, all my friends at once" said Alice.
"We should decorate the table with something pretty" said Meg.
Kristen then let a ladybug land on her hand.
"Bugs" she said.
"Kristen, Grandma's friends don't wanna see any bugs at a tea party" said Meg.
"Bugs" said Kristen as she showed Meg her ladybug.
"Oh, Kristen. You're just like your daddy when he was little" said Alice.
"It's true. When I was a little one, I brought bugs to parties too" said Chad.
"And a good job you did with that, my David" said Alice.
"Chad, Mother. I had my name changed a long time ago" said Chad.
Alice ignored her son and said to Meg, "I think that's enough cherries".
"I'll take them into the house for you, mother" said Meg.
"Kristen, dear, would you and Idina go into the flower garden and find something to decorate the table with? Just bring in anything that looks pretty" said Alice.
The two little girls did as told while Meg and Chad went inside with Alice.
"What can I do for the tea party?" said Meg.
"You can make a gelatin salad. David, could you tell your wife what to do?" said Alice.
"Yes, Mother" said Chad.
"Did you used to make these as a boy?" said Meg.
"Not myself. I used to help my sister make them" said Chad.
"Fair enough" said Meg.
As Chad told his wife how to make gelatin salad, Idina and Kristen came back with a bouquet of tulips with the ladybug on it.
"Ah, girls. Have you found something to decorate the table with?" said Alice.
"Bugs" said Kristen.
"Bugs? Oh no!" said Meg.
She took the flowers outside and shooed away the ladybug.
"Kristen, Grandma's friends don't wanna see any bugs on the flowers" she said.
The girls went back inside.
"You picked some lovely flowers, girls" said Chad.
"Without any bugs on them" said Meg.
"I'm going to make lemonade for our tea party, but I'll need some mint. The mint is right beside the strawberries, Kristen. Do you think you could pick a few leaves for me?" said Alice.
Kristen went back outside.
"Mint is my mother's special ingredient for lemonade" said Chad to Meg.
"Wow. It must make it delicious" said Meg.
"Mint makes my mother's lemonade taste heavenly" said Chad.
"Very. Now, David, would you please check on my scones for me?" said Alice.
"Yes, Mother" said Chad.
He opened the oven and air made his glasses fog.
"Oh my goodness. This happens to me every time I look in the oven" said Chad.
"What does, Chad?" said Meg.
"The warm air fogs up my glasses and I can't see a thing" said Chad.
Kristen brought back some mint and the ladybug was on the leaves.
"Well, Kristen. Did you bring back my special ingredient for lemonade?" said Alice.
"Bugs" said Kristen.
"Bugs? Not again, Kristen!" said Meg.
She shooed the ladybug away again.
"Kristen, Grandma's friends do not wanna drink any bugs in their lemonade" said Meg.
Then she went back to mixing her gelatin and Alice accepted the mint.
"Thank you for the mint, Kristen; that will make the lemonade delicious" said Alice.
"Just water and powder" Meg sighed.
Chad felt sorry for his wife having no special ingredients and turned to Idina with an idea.
"I think you'll find something special for your Mummy's gelatin in the strawberry patch" he said.
Idina nodded and picked a few strawberries from the garden.
Kristen joined her and let her ladybug land on the berries.
Back inside...
"Girls! Did you bring back something special?" said Alice.
"Berries" said Idina.
"Bugs" said Kristen.
"Oh my. That's a very pretty ladybug, Kristen; but I think she'd be happier outside" said Alice.
Kristen let the ladybug go after hearing those words.
"Now let's go inside and give those strawberries to your mother" said Alice.
Idina and Kristen had glasses of lemonade while Alice washed the strawberries and told Chad to give them to Meg.
"Chad, honey... I wish I had a special ingredient for my salad. Something sweet and tasty" said Meg.
"Idina and Kristen brought you something sweet and tasty from the garden. Fresh strawberries" said Chad.
"The girls picked those for me? That's the perfect special ingredient" said Meg.
Just then, the timer went off. The scones were ready.
When Chad took them out, his glasses fogged up as usual.
The phone rang and Meg went to answer it as Chad couldn't see anything.
When he put his glasses back on, he whispered to Alice, "Mother? Do you still have those ladybug candies? Because I think I know how to let Kristen have bugs at this party".
At the tea party...
"These scones are scrumptious" said Cathy Lane.
"Best I ever tasted. How do you do it, Mrs Chadwick?" said Patty Lane.
"Oh, you know I have my special ingredients. But now you're in for an extra special treat. Meg made a gelatin salad for you" said Alice.
The guests dined on Meg's gelatin.
"Meg, this is delicious" said Cathy.
"The little bits are so sweet and tasty" said Patty.
"I have a special ingredient too. The girls picked them from the garden" said Meg.
"And what is your special ingredient, Meg?" said Bruce Wayne.
"It's..." Meg began.
Then she saw Chad's ladybug candies in her salad instead of the strawberries.
"Bugs!" said Kristen.
