Idina was on the phone with Chad's best friend Jeremy Clyde.

"You like the idea, Idina?" said Jeremy on the other side.

"Yes" said Idina.

"Who is it, Idina?" said Meg.

"Jewemy" said Idina.

Meg took the phone and said "Jeremy? Jeremy Clyde?"

"Yeah, Meg; that's me. Idina, Kristen and I have decided to have a recital in your garden. Would you like that?" said Jeremy.

"Uh... sure. I'd love that" said Meg awkwardly.

"Alright. I'll be right over" said Jeremy.

Meg hung up the phone feeling rather scared.

Chad came in and said "Meg? What's the matter, sweet?"

"Chad. Jeremy was just on the phone. He said he's gonna come have a recital with us. I have nothing to play" said Meg.

"Oh, dear, not nothing. We do have a musician in the family" said Chad.

"Water" said Kristen.

"Water?" said Meg.

Kristen held her throat to clarify.

"I think she wants a glass of water" said Chad.

Kristen nodded her head.

"Alright, little one. I'll get you some water while your mum finds an instrument" said Chad.

He poured Kristen an icy cold glass of water and she took it outside where Idina was waiting.

"Water, 'Dina" said Kristen.

Idina drank some of the water then put the glass on a table she'd set up.

"Need more" said Idina.

"More" Kristen agreed running back inside.

Meg and Chad were still trying to find an instrument.

"Oh my goodness. I haven't played this in years. It's the xylophone my sister once gave me as a child" said Chad.

"Maybe I could play it" said Meg.

"I'd advise you to. I'd look silly playing a xylophone in a recital" said Chad.

"Water" said Kristen.

"Another glass of water? Alright then, Kristen. I'll be right back, Meg" said Chad.

He gave Kristen another glass and she took it outside.

"Still need more" said Idina.

Kristen nodded and ran back inside.

"Water" she said to Chad.

"Blimey, Kristen. You are a thirsty little one today, aren't you?" said Chad.

He gave Kristen another and she proceeded to take it to Idina.

Idina drank less from this glass than the last one.

Kristen went back inside for another glass.

"Water" she said.

"Another? Oh, you better be careful, Kristen; or you'll float away" Chad laughed.

While he gave Kristen two more glasses, Idina snagged the mallets from Meg's xylophone.

"I'll give you two more glasses. That should hold you over" said Chad.

While Kristen took the two glasses outside, Chad went back to Meg.

"Chad, have you seen the mallets for my xylophone?" said Meg.

"I thought you had them" said Chad.

"I did, but now I can't find them" said Meg.

"Oh dear. If you can't find them, you might need another instrument" said Chad.

"But what? Oh, Chad, I dunno if I'll ever be able to play an instrument in the recital. I've never been able to play anything" said Meg on the edge of tears.

"Oh, sweet, you'll be fine" said Chad soothingly.

As Meg calmed down, the doorbell rang.

She answered it and Jeremy was there.

"Meg! Are you ready for the recital?" said Jeremy.

"Not exactly" said Meg.

"What do you mean not exactly?" said Jeremy.

"We've been trying to find an instrument for Meg to play, but the only one she can play is the xylophone and we lost the mallets" said Chad.

"Chad the lad, you didn't need to find an instrument for Meg" said Jeremy.

"We didn't?" said Chad.

"But I thought..." Meg began.

"What I meant was, the girls and I are gonna have a recital and you two are our audience" said Jeremy.

"Jewemy!" Idina and Kristen squealed as they hopped into Jeremy's arms.

"Hello, my favorite little girls. I expect you got everything ready" said Jeremy.

The girls nodded.

Jeremy led Chad and Meg outside where Kristen's glasses of water were lined up on Idina's table.

"It's perfect. You did it just like I taught you" said Jeremy.

"So that's why Kristen wanted all those glasses of water" said Chad.

"And that's where my mallets went" said Meg.

Kristen held the mallets and tapped on the glasses of water with them.

"I taught the girls how to make their own xylophone. And they decided that you two be our test audience" said Jeremy.

"How cool!" Meg squealed.

"The fuller the glass is, the lower the sound. That's how you get a xylophone from glasses of..." said Jeremy.

"Water!" said Idina and Kristen.
